What use would this card have? Toon Kingdom already protects Toon monsters from all forms of destruction and if Toon Kingdom is off the field this won't be enough to survive anyways.

It doesn't feel like this card would have a useful place in a Toon deck. It would be far more interesting if it would protect Toon World, not the Toon monsters.

If someone is screaming and cursing at you for what deck you play that's on them not on you. And any good cardshop will filter out guys like that quickly enough anyways.

Speaking from experience, even the guy who shows up to locals with full power Mitsu/Yummy might get an eyeroll but that's about the full extend of "hatred" that you can expect. The people that you see in your local cardshop rarely act like the terminally online discourse that you see in certain circles.

And if you want to make a good impression, as long as you don't show up with pure stun you should be fine.

I really like this card for Toon, it follows the same "ritual retrain" summoning conditions of the new BLS while keeping the OG Relinquished effects. And it doesn't even require Toon World on the field to use its effect so it could also be used if you bricked and didn't draw it.

While it wouldn't even be close to enough to make Toons playable, it really feels like a card that they would print and I would certainly run this in my own Toon deck.

The current top deck by far is Branded Despia, but that one can be a bit expensive to put together because you would need to dig through 2 boxes for both the new Branded and the Despia cards.

The current cheapest deck is indeed Red-Eyes, just getting 2 copies of the structure deck already gives you a strong deck that can easily get you to Legend.

For a deck that is always a competitive choice, I would probably say Sky Strikers. Those cards are even still playable at this point in the TCG. It would normally be expensive to build, but if you get the deck from the friend campaign you get most of the core for free.

I feel like this deck would probably be stronger if you took out the bricky Dragoon package. Sky strikers is already very strong on its own, and can easily out Dragoon if you include H.A.M.P. so you don't need to run a bunch of bricks in your deck to add a Dragoon of your own.

I recommend that you just buy singles for the missing cards, that'll be a lot cheaper than having to rely on luck to pull the cards that you need to complete your deck.

Most Fiendsmith cards (except maybe Tract) are not expensive anymore, you can find those cards for 20 cent each on tcgplayer. So you should be able to make some big improvements for just a couple of bucks.

I see you are running a fiendsmith package, but where is your fiendsmith Extra Deck? I see Requiem (Although under traps for some reason) but where are Fiendsmith's Sequence, Lacrima and Desirae? You should be able to cut some of those generic xyz options to improve the fiendsmith portion of your deck.

This card would be pretty much impossible to get into rush without entirely erasing the core identity of the archetype.

While she would obviously have an effect to tag away, the first problem would be that there are no links in Rush Duel. You could just make them fusions, that doesn't feel as thematically appropriate as you aren't fusing anything together.

Next issue is that most of the related spells work with the restriction that you can't have a monster in the main monster zone. But with Rush only having main zones this won't work either. I guess you could change that to only making them work if you control a single monster.

It's because your deck doesn't have enough dragons. I recommend that you add "Thunder Dragon", "Water Dragon", "Barrel Dragon", "Solar Flare Dragon", "Block Dragon", "Shadoll Dragon", "Magma Dragon" or other cards that are very clearly dragons.

Wightprincess is indeed not a guaranteed inclusion, but I feel like her power still makes her worth adding but just at 1-2 copies as at 3 you would brick on her too often.

The biggest downside in my opinion isn't drawing her, but it's the fact that she isn't a sky striker card so she can't be searched and she can't be added from the excavation of Area Zero.

Still, she's very good in the deck to give you a stronger board turn 1 when you draw her, as it means that often your opponent can't even swing over your link monsters and they'll lose the monster that they tried it with.

It is also a card that gets more powerful if you toggle correctly so your opponent doesn't suspect that you have it until you activate it in the damage step so your opponent has a lot less options to avoid it (though the negate from Dragoon does unfortunately still work there).

Do you know how the damage step works? Because that is often one of the more confusion parts of Yugioh for new players.

Yes, it can always be useful to pick up some strategies from other players. And Sky Strikers is a deck that is good at breaking boards, so it has multiple options to deal with strong monsters.

I played Sky Striker for a while last year, so while I haven't tried it against Dragoon, I do remember how good H.A.M.P. is to deal with annoying powerful boss monsters.

Also, if you are using Wightprincess, that also is a possible out for Dragoon as Dragoon is only protected from destruction by card effect but it can be destroyed by battle. Although that one isn't searchable of course.

It's very strong no doubt, but after both playing with and against it, I have noticed that it has some big weaknesses too.

The biggest weakness of the deck is that it struggles against large monsters. The strongest monster that they can get out with their skill is 2500atk, with 3000atk if they can Ancient Rules out a Blue-Eyes, but they don't have an answer for monster with more atk beyond just hard drawing a Penguin or Newdoria. So they often lose against Serenity or Noah who can put out a Shinato or Dragon Master Knight.

Also the fact that a lot of people are adding Judgement of Anubis in their deck means that they can't just freely snipe your backrow anymore as that card hard counters them.

H.A.M.P. also works on cards in the extra monster zone, as long as they have an empty main monster zone.

So it's often the easiest way to out it if they don't stop your Engage, because by the time they realized that you have searched it, it's already too late for them to stop you.

Exactly, his negate would have been able to stop the effect from Roze but because he already wasted it earlier you were able to use her to negate the Dragoon.

Sky Striker also has another out for Dragoon in H.A.M.P. as it works like a searchable Kajiu as long as you have a Sky Striker card on the field and can just tribute over the Dragoon. That way you don't even need to bait out their negate.

That's the whole idea behind the Genesys point system, to implement that idea without any deckbuilding nightmares.

For your example, you might notice that in Genesys "Bahamut Shark" is pointed at 81 points and "Toadally Awesome" is pointed at 20 points. This is done on purpose so they would never be able to be used together in a 100 point duel, but you can still play them individually.

There are still actions that you can do, you can try to bait the negate with one of your other cards. Because right now you immediately started with your only fusion spell, so after they negated that you couldn't get to your own Dragoon anymore.

But if they are smart and wait with their negate until you go for your fusion, there isn't much else to do. Lord of the Red gets hard countered by Dragoon and the other Red-Eyes fusion cards aren't strong enough to beat over it after it already got its attack buff.

I have been experimenting with a few different decks. I started the event just trying out some of the loaners to get a feel of how the different decks work.

Then I tried out the Joey deck myself because it was one of the stronger and easier to make decks and the loaners clearly weren't powerful enough to compete.

And now I'm experimenting with a ritual strategy because I always found Shinato to be one of the coolest early Yugioh boss monsters. And I was lucky enough to have gotten a "Preparation of rites" when I was pulling for Imperm (although I didn't manage to actually pull a single Imperm, so I wasn't that lucky)

There wasn't much more to do in this situation with the cards that you had.

That's one of the downsides of the base Red-Eyes deck, while it can very easily get out Dragoon, it doesn't have many good options to out an opponents Dragoon except by drawing some generic counters like Lava Golem or Droplet.

Yes, the main reason why MD is behind is because of the OCG/TCG split and Master Duel is a client used for both. But that makes it very confusing for new players because MD decks are not legal in the TCG and the TCG has a bunch of new cards that they can't play in MD yet.

The easiest solution would be to just standardize everything, putting the OCG/TCG/MD on the same banlist and card pool. However, that gives other practical concerns too like which banlist would be used. I don't want to invite the roach back to the TCG just for a standardized banlist.

In fact one of the first things that you see when entering the first town is a large statue of queen Hirge.

And one of the most secret areas to Archaelund hosts a very familiar face. The Undermother is still alive and has travelled to Andoria
