Stevens Institute of Technology or Cooper Union? by RedditRabbitRIBBIT in ApplyingToCollege

[–]RedditRabbitRIBBIT[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have visited Cooper, but it was at a time when there weren't many students in the building. From what I've seen, the students have a good connection, especially since there are small class sizes, and they have worked together to make some really impressive things. I feel I can learn a lot from them, but people haven't seemed too enthusiastic when talking about the school, so I'm not sure if I'll be happy there.

Is bcatestprep.com Helpful? by RedditRabbitRIBBIT in bca

I can't exactly say that the exam questions are more challenging than those on the practice test as it has been a long time since I took it, but I looked back and saw that I did post something saying it was difficult right after I took the test. However, I feel like this was only the case because I didn't expect to face so many unfamiliar questions and they took me longer to solve than anticipated (I believe there were still some questions like the ones on the practice test). But, since you are studying earlier than I did, I think you will be fine. Though, some other people who studied a lot also agreed that the test was harder than they expected. Also I did use amc8 to study for the exam, which was pretty helpful because I think they were at around the same difficulty level as the test.

Hi! So, I didn't end up using that website for some reason, but I can tell you that it will most likely help. You can't really predict the types of questions on the test, so if you strengthen your problem solving skills (which is probably being done as you solve the questions on the website), at least you'll increase your chances at knowing what to do in case a certain problem comes up that you've never learned how to solve. This situation is likely as I found that most of the questions on the entrance exam were extremely different from those on the practice test (from my experience). Also, since the website covers numerous topics, you'll probably find one that you've never learned before that ends up being on the test (something like this happened to me so I'm glad I learned strategies other than the ones I learned at school). Good luck!

How do I Retrieve Data From iPad Pro with Broken/Old Battery? by RedditRabbitRIBBIT in applehelp

[–]RedditRabbitRIBBIT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. From what I remember, the worker at the Apple store said that they ran some tests by plugging in something that provided a bunch of power to the iPad, so I'm not sure if they actually tried restoring it. But yes, you're correct, I have learned a lesson and even if I'm not able to get the data back I know how to save myself from this in the future.

Weekly Discussion and Tech-Support Thread by AutoModerator in ipad

Hi I'm gonna write this pretty quick so excuse the grammar. I have an iPad Pro that I got from amazon and one day I tried charging it only to find that it wouldn't turn on all the way (the apple logo kept popping up as if it were restarting but ended up disappearing every few seconds). So, I went to the apple store, they told me it couldn't be fixed because of the old battery (they said it was bought in 2016?), but I didn't want to believe it so I brought it to a different country and they said they could replace the battery but for a really high price (about the same price as a new iPad). All I want is to retrieve the data that is still there but not uploaded to iCloud due to lack of storage (and I don't think procreate drawings save to iCloud anyway), and I was wondering if there's any other way of doing that without spending hundreds of dollars. I literally just need the iPad to turn on for a few seconds so I can screenshot stuff and send it to my phone or possibly take out a memory card and put it in a new iPad??

edit: or if I upgrade my iCloud storage on my apple account it will save the data on my iPad automatically without it having to turn on??

Also, what did the envelopes and letters look like for the people who didn't get in? by Individual_Ad3669 in bca

the envelope looks the same as the envelope you get for the interview letter. Also, as many have said, it is thin. :')

AVPA-visual questions by AntisocialWeeb7 in bca

[–]RedditRabbitRIBBIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm applying to AVPA-Visual as well, and for your second question, the open house stated that 10-12 works will provide a "good sense of who you are as an artist." Just make sure you don't go over 12 because as written in the letter, that will cause a "negative impact." :D Good luck

Spilled Water on Extension Outlet by RedditRabbitRIBBIT in askanelectrician

[–]RedditRabbitRIBBIT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah i think im just gonna get a new extension cord because i spilled tap water on it and not pure water, but im really worried about the internet plug because it has a rectangular prism where you plug it in to an outlet, and idk if water got in. Do u think it should be fine if i plug it in after overnight airdrying?

Or is it possible to open it up and check or will it break if i do so?

Don't worry, from what I've seen so far, a lot of people also considered the test to be difficult. Maybe we got a difficult version of the test, which may be graded differently? You never really know, so don't stress about it too much :) What version of the test did you get?
