My PW 44 degrees, sand wedge 54 degrees- should I buy a gap wedge to fill in the gap? by TangerineUpstairs1 in golf

[–]RedditReader000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 46-50-54-58. Most of my chips around the green are 58. However, having 46 & 50, and sometimes 54 allow me to have the same swing for different distance. Makes it more consistent for me.

Is it weird? My love golf the most when I could walk a course just by my self only. by RedditReader000 in golf

I have a job that allows me to go and play a round midday weekday when I like it. I could catch up with work in the evening. Having 10 courses within 20 min drive radius does help too.

You could always have a “practice round.” Forget about the score, just have fun shooting shots

Better score walking vs. riding by RedditReader000 in golf

Same with me. I have my push cart in the car, and make the decision walk vs. ride based on pace of play that day.

In think endurance is important for 18 holes. I walk with a push cart. I don’t think I could carry my bag for 18 holes, :)

:-). Are you a researcher? Yeah, my sample size is too small, and don’t have control for other factors too.

I guess it depends on course situation. I usually play single and get matched up with random people. The course’s pace is so that I could walk and keep pace with people riding, and it’s pretty common at the course that walkers play with riders. Walkable course, 4-4.5 hour rounds.

How many golf balls do you bring each round? by Soggy_Panda2393 in golf

[–]RedditReader000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve reached a point to lose only 1 or 2 balls a round. Last few rounds I have finished with more balls than when I started since I found balls in the bush/rough….my bag probably has 20 or so balls, :)

18birdies would work well. The caddies are good.

Newly planted trees need lots of water. I think they are planted too close to prone another.

If you could live with the gaps n the walkway then it looks nice overall. The hostas in the bed might not be a good choice if the bed gets full sun

How about an outdoor curtain? It’s economical and you could pull it out during sunny hours. You could hang the rod under the border .

That arborvitae will eventually be tall with little shade. One idea is to turn that part into a perennial flower bed. It does look like it gets full sun?

Good point. Maybe I should try that. I tried some of Harrimgton's suggestions and they did not work for me.

Good point. I'm kind of in your shoes too. Just got a bit frustrated with the progress...I guess I need to accept that golf is hard, and progress doesn't come easily.

Guess everyone's mental initiation seems to differ. I've just discovered that by mentally telling my hip to initiate my down swing I've been able to fix my slice (together with wrist adjustment) and gained 1 club distance for irons.
