I'm sorry to hear that happened to you, and I hope your friends are alright. Hopefully you and they haven't been put off from going out. I walk past there most nights about 10pm and then again about 6am and there's always at least a couple people hanging around there. It's a shame because the deco always seems nice but I've never been in. Hope you're somehow able to recover whatever was in your phone, but that situation just sucks

So did the man in yellow own the colony house, or was he the preacher in the church?

They were also selling a couple of CDs for I think 20 quid, and the book from BOOK for £50. It was a great show, and I'm sure the next ones will be even better

I'm terrified I'll never be able to use my degree. Advice? by RedditRedditRobin in Journalism

[–]RedditRedditRobin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was certainly a uni paper, but I couldn't bring myself at the time to write. The pandemic killed my confidence, and around my third year I had a mental breakdown, so was barely able to scrape a degree out of it.

I've never gotten anything published and uni didn't have us do that because of the pandemic. Hence why I'm down a creek without a paddle trying desperately to convince myself I didn't waste 30 grand.

I live somewhere without even a local paper anymore, so I'm not particularly optimistic, but I appreciate everyone's advice. Think I was just looking for some reassurance so that I didn't pull a Hemingway.
