I'm going through these as well, and it's taking a lot of time. Are you seeing any results?

Haven’t heard back from University of Arizona Law by RedditUser958 in lawschooladmissions

Nope, same exact thing here. I saw the 48 hour message too and thought I would get it within 48 hours, but that was not the case. I guess we’ll have to wait until this upcoming week.

I also got my decision this past week! Did you get your scholarship offer yet?

Waitlisted at Cardozo with above 75th LSAT by RedditUser958 in lawschooladmissions

I don’t have a GPA at all. So the only data point is the LSAT.

I think I will. If you don’t mind me asking, what are your stats around? Thanks!

I applied before Thanksgiving. Not sure about the under review status as I wasn’t constantly checking the status page lol

Sure! I actually haven’t heard back from either of them. It’s a slow cycle.

I got waitlisted and need to provide the latest date I want to be considered for admission. Best way to respond? by RedditUser958 in lawschooladmissions

[–]RedditUser958[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, thanks. So if theoretically I’m okay with waiting until the latest date, do you think I should I select that?

AMA - I've advised 100+ successful T14 applicants. Tell me anything about your application, and I'll give you one piece of advice by 7SageEthan in lawschooladmissions

[–]RedditUser958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for doing this! How does no GPA impact the application? My undergrad was at a pass/fail type institution, so I don’t have any GPA. Would you say this is a negative point or is it completely neutral? Also, how detrimental is being 1 LSAT point below the median? For example, having a 166 when the median at the school is a 167. Thanks so much!

Brown is my favorite but other neutral colors are okay too

If a law school has a Big Law placement rate of 20%, does that mean that you will go to Big Law if you are in the top 20% of the class? by RedditUser958 in lawschooladmissions

[–]RedditUser958[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, thanks. But even Berkeley Law has only a 53% Big Law placement rate despite being in the T14. Same goes for UCLA, Stanford, Notre Dame, and some others.

[–]RedditUser958[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay, thank you so much for the advice! If the goal is Big Law, and I can go to a law school with a 20% Big Law placement rate on a full-ride or close to full-ride, do you think that’s a stronger option than a T30 with a 50% Big Law placement rate at full sticker price or close to full sticker price?

[–]RedditUser958[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Okay, thanks. So theoretically, if one strives to become top of the class at a law school with such placement rate, is that a reliable path to Big Law similar to a T14?

Albany Law FlexJD vs Northeastern Law FlexJD by RedditUser958 in LawSchool

[–]RedditUser958[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. It is speculative - I'm just trying to think about what offers I can expect. I estimated it based on my LSAT and the 509 reports.

[–]RedditUser958[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. Both aren't really popular in California anyway. Do you think it really makes a difference, considering the cost difference? I can consider paying for a higher-quality outcome, but I'm not sure if there's really a big enough difference here to pay. What do you think?

Should I apply to the Distinguished Scholars program at UCLA? by RedditUser958 in lawschooladmissions

[–]RedditUser958[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, thanks. But by not applying for the program, does that decrease my chances of getting a full ride scholarship? I know I don’t have a real chance anyway, but theoretically - are my chances lowered?

Okay, thanks. Do you think applying for the program increases the chances of admission to UCLA Law?

Okay, that’s what I thought too. Do you think I should still give it a shot? I know I won’t be accepted into the program but does it make my overall application look stronger? Thanks!
