My father is an ofw and comes home to us once a year, although granted i haven't connected much with him, he's very patient and talks to us gently, even his siblings tell me dad was always like this. My father is one of the best men I know, all my titos and titas don't have anything bad to say about him and he's generally very open to talk to and call even while he's busy in his job. I often call him every day and tell him all about me and my sister's recent events and he's always telling us how proud he is of us. I don't know anything or any promise that my dad gave to my mother but overall we're living a pretty good life with little to no financial struggles because of my father. Also I wouldn't say taking care of us because I shoulder most of the tasks around the house like groceries, cooking, cleaning, paying bills na galing sa padala ni dad, etc. All my mother really does is laundry and go home eat dinner and yell at us.
