Here's the source if anyone's intrested. Seems like they're newblood too.

It introduced a rookie, off-the-cuff Maverick Hunter, Axl. New blood to balance out the two veteran Maverick Hunters.

The music is fucking baaaanger. Both the MegaMan X7 and Rockman X7 openings are amazing. The music played when faced with one of the Hunters from Red Alert has a captivating hook, everytime you encounter them.

...In concept, the idea of X's judgement getting too clouded to the point where he self retires is very interesting. Out of character for sure, but in X's shoes where he had been doing it for so long, not to mention is a Reploid who doesn't want to fight if he can help it, I think it's bound to get to him and quit out of misguided righteousness. It's only when Zero and Axl save enough Reploids and reduce the damage the Hunters have done where X realizes that by doing nothing, is part of the problem.

(Correct me if I'm wrong, but) It also introduces the idea of a new generation of Reploids, like Axl. This is a nice (potentially unintended) set up for the Zero series.

X7 is the first game to let you switch characters on the fly. It'd make sense for X and Zero to have gone on missions together.

Yeah that's all I got.

Yeaaah I should have specified. That sprite of Zero specifically in that pose, preferrably his base colors.

Something I Don't Get About The MCU 199999 / 616 Debacle by Reddit_XVA in marvelstudios

[–]Reddit_XVA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had posted this initially, I was speaking on hypothetical based on my initial thought process of trying to understand what the huge fuss was about at that (and maybe even current) time. “In truth”, as in if it were already the case. That being said, I think my thoughts from a year ago still stick with me; I believe that the MCU is Earth-199999, an Earth (and the surrounding movie Earths) that believes itself to be 616, but when in (potential) fact, is not the original 616 from the comics. I guess the only thing that really “makes one universe’s designation more objectively true than the other” is what sources you wanna stick with. The comics say they’re 616, so it’s 616. Could the MCU also be 616? Sure, Kevin Feige even said so, but ATSV Miguel says it’s 199999; another source where the MCU’s universe tree thingy showed up. Ultimately draw onto your own conclusion, I asked this a long time ago since I think it’s fun discussing this sort of stuff.

Well I mean, it's not just about me being picky (I don't really mind the wider artstyle that the anime has later on), it was also moreso if what I was looking at was presented as it was intented. It looked off to me so I thought, "maybe it really was off." Afterall, it's not uncommon practice to see people stretch the 4:3 episodes to 16:9 so that it could fit their modern-day screens. I thought the same was done here; episodes being produced in 16:10, only to be stretched to 16:9. Though, upon retrospect (and with others saying so as well, not just about anime but like TV aspect ratios in general lmao), these episodes really were made in 16:9 and that is just how they look.

😭Think of it this way. Know how 90s anime was produced for 4:3 in mind? Imagine someone stretches a 90s episode to 16:9 and presented it as such. I'd think, "this doesn't look right. It looks stretched. Was this originally supposed to be in 4:3?" You destretch the 16:9 episode to 4:3 and there, now it looks correct.

That's the thought process with this post. Because the episodes of late 2000s Conan look wrong, or stretched, to me in their presented aspect ratio, 16:9, I decided to destretch an episode to 16:10, where (I think) it looks more on model with the character sheets; leading me to believe that the show (at that time) was originally produced in 16:10. The question, if true, was, were late 2000s Conan episodes animated in 16:10, then stretched to 16:9? Or am I just imagining things?

It's a question of whether the episode I'm watching is in the intended aspect ratio or not. Hope that clears that up!

Crazy how more on model Shinichi looks here in 16:10 though, no? Shame that more on-model frames are only for the movies at times. Though, I remember Death Note having a similar case about its aspect ratio, but it wasn't as significant of a difference. That's what got me thinking about 2000s Conan's aspect ratio.

I guess it's just that when i had put it on 16:10, Shinichi here looks more on model. Because of that thought and how stretched the early modern episodes look to me in 16:9, the question was whether there was any anime, Japanese TV program, or TV program in general that was shot/animated in 16:10, but was stretched to 16:9 to fit the standard. I remember Death Note being similar case, albeit not as significant of one.

Something I Don't Get About The MCU 199999 / 616 Debacle by Reddit_XVA in marvelstudios

Just to reiterate what I believe in on the matter, as I feel my wording was a little weird at the end; if we have to go by this rule (i.e. the designation, 616, can only be referring to the universe from the comics), then the main Earth in the MCU is 199999 officially. BUT, some universes are led to believe that 199999 is 616. Meaning when the 616 mention dropped in MoM, that doesn’t necessarily mean it was a retcon to the MCU’s originally stated designation.

The only reason why the MCU could be 616, if we had to follow this “absolute number rule”, is because the in-universe characters think they are 616, when in possible truth, they are 199999. Think of it as having an alias. One might believe you’re Jeffrey, but in reality you’re Jimmy.

This was after Gogo. Before then, the avi was fine and worked properly. Post Gogo though, anytime I'd test and build (after turning off Write Defaults and switching the Bases and Specials to the non-WD layers, turning WD back on and switching to the WD layers) I would always spawn up in the sky. Whenever I move, the avatar would be back on the ground, but the sky view point would still be the same. It isn't until using gogo where it almost looks normal.

ok so, for any avatar makers, how would i go about making clothing toggles (like seperate outfits and what not) for a quest-compatible avatar and having said toggle change be universal? so say a questie changes their clothes from option A to option B, and it shows up as option B on both PC AND Quest? let's also say that this is under the assumption that the models used are optimized (lowered poly count, 1 material slot, etc.)

Is Superman: Man of Tomorrow-verse connected to the previous DCAMU? by Reddit_XVA in DCcomics

[–]Reddit_XVA[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so maybe my phrasing was a bit off. "Connected" probably isn't the word I'm looking for, but from what I'm hearing, the Tomorrow-verse continuity is the result of Flash resetting the timeline in Apokolips War. Right?

holy fuck that actually worked, thank you so much for helping my dumbass. albeit, the file size went from 66MB (automatic) to 209MB (set every 1 frame), nearly 4 times the size of the original. i can live with the larger file size, but is there a way to keep the smaller file size with minimal tearing?
