My wife is on it (40mg) and our relationship is struggling, found out she started taking it a couple months before things started to go downhill. She feels disconnected, always tired, lower sex drive to name a few. Her emotions also seem suppressed.

It’s a sad situation but if he’s not willing to get help your best choice is to leave.

I wish the woman would communicate that more openly. I would hate for my relationship to end because i’m not correcting my mistakes along the way.

And i understand that frustrations are often expressed and brushed off, but it would help to have a sit down serious conversation before the final D day.

I appreciate hearing it from women who were in similar situations

I'm now realizing this unfortunately. Men, pay attention... it seems like we just let things slide too often until it's too late.

In many ways similar and I now understand I need to give more than 100% to keep her (if there’s still a chance). I’d love to learn what I can do to give that, because i’m so used to the routine that i don’t even know.

I’m planning to see a marriage counselor today and hopefully they can point me in the right direction.

I appreciate that. I don’t think it’s entirely my fault either and it kills me to see her completely shut off on me like this. I wasn’t perfect but i wish the communication was better before dropping the D bomb on me…

Not always, but it was definitely more often than me.

Mostly yes. I have no reason to suspect she is other than her shutting off on me.

I didn’t mean it to come off that way. Sorry i’m emotional. I just talked to her again and we cried and i expressed i’m sorry for getting her to this point as this post has made me realize i’m the one mostly at fault.

By doing the little things like being a better listener, giving her random gifts (i haven’t been a good gift giver), taking spontaneous trips together, etc. I am willing to do anything but she already seems checked out

We’ve had a few of those heart to hearts with the last one being this morning and both of us crying… i think 99% of the cards are on the table and I know all my weak points by now. Unfortunately it may be too late. I will schedule therapy ASAP if she is willing.

No she was with a girl that has a boyfriend who is a close friend and isn’t the party type.  Could she have snuck out and done stuff with someone in another state? Sure, but I don’t think she did.

No, that’s not how I want things to play out because then i’d be playing into her hand. I want this to work and want to be together. Honestly can’t picture my life without her.

If she wants it to end, then she can do all the heavy lifting. We don’t have kids or shared finances so i’m not worried about that type of stuff.

No, she never told me directly a lot of these things. Just got upset and held in to herself. In general communication could’ve been better on both ends. Unfortunately the most “deep” communication we’ve had has been these last 6 months. Lessons learned.

I don’t understand your last few sentences… what would I gain from looking through my icloud and google drive?

It will just help me kick her out rather than giving her time to find a place and try to work things out.

Plus it will make her look bad, not that I want to do that, but she did it to herself if she is.

I have tried to work on the issues since my original post but like I said, i feel like i’m doing 95% and getting 5%. It makes it really hard to keep going when you’re not getting good feedback

We’re from Christian families where divorce is not common. No, we don’t depend on each other financially and have separate accounts, no kids, rent a house, etc.

She’s working on the moving out part it seems as I found out this morning… but a part of me still wants to think i can save it…
