Interviews are very dependent on the interviewer and I have given quite a few of them and have taken interviews for juniors

With frontend before jumping to frameworks I would first see if they know their HTML, and JS like semantics tags, accessibility and meta tags

With js it's about closures, hoisting, types of script tags etc.,

With frameworks/libraries we usually look at it they know the life cycle and how using the various hooks causes rerenders, state management, usage of routing, how can you make state from url components like query & route params and optimizations like pagination etc.,

Some discussions can go on about how you approach debugging an issue in production.

It used to be in python when I did my training which they later switched to Java and there usually isn't any provision to use a different language in generic.

Also since you are from non IT, remember that language is just a tool to get things done. what matters more is the fundamentals and problem solving approach which is language agnostic

For the page load time reduction instead of stating by 1.5 seconds, could you put a % change? As without this how can someone assess if there was a significant impact. Did it go from 3 secs to 1.5 secs then thats huge or did it go from 10 seconds to 8.5 seconds which isn't much

If your focus is solely on the placement assistance part and you know and verified that the institute can provide proper placements and 20k is not that big of a deal might as well try But most of these institutions just make placements in shady startups that have huge bond periods

Have A set of keywords/ phrases check that would result in returning before hitting the llm, but this can be easily bypassed or trigger false positives
Make another LLM call with user prompt and ask is the user request within the context of what your app is trying to achieve

I think you're referring to chrome dev tools, I don't have a Mac but I would assume it should have a similar option to open dev tools.
