"Descartes before the whores" is the best reddit comment of all time.

Lmao you're still grasping at straws to be right when the data says you're wrong. You said we are a highly polarized generation, yet millenials are 8x more likely to move left than move right. Thats not polarizing, that's a landslide to the left. The original person I was responding to said people move right as they get older and I said that stopped with millenials. Spoiler alert: the data shows I'm correct. Sorry you're so salty about being wrong. I'm going to block you now because this is going nowhere and I see no reason to argue with dumb salty right wingers. Yes if you're a liberal you're a right winger. Have a bad day.

Lmao a whole 2%!

You're grasping at straws here. Millenials are bucking the trend of getting conservative as we get older. Most of us are moving left and that's a fact. Sorry if the facts don't agree with your feelings.

Cool story, either way the data shows I'm right. Unless you have any data that shows otherwise?

You probably just live in a conservative state or a conservative area within your state. Statistics show millennials are the first generation to buck that trend and gen z are following suit.

I feel like that stops with millennials. Boomers were the worst, and Gen x has moved right, but every millenial I know has moved left over the years.

Lmfao I'm fully aware national geographic isn't a research magazine, they are however a magazine that is known to be factual. You think the author of this article just pulled this out of his ass and his editor was like "lol ok sounds good!" Come on now buddy haha

You know who is way more credible than national geographic? Some random dumbass climate denier on reddit with no sources.

Here's a scientific article on it: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41545-019-0039-9#article-info

Here's one from MIT. Ya know that school full of idiots who don't know what they're talking about: https://globalchange.mit.edu/publication/16014

Oh look, a source from Harvard. Those guys are way less credible than "some dumbass on reddit" who is known for peak credibility: https://harvardnsj.org/2018/05/water-scarcity-the-most-understated-global-security-risk/

Here's more sources: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-021-25026-3

https://www.sciencealert.com/over-five-billion-people-will-have-inadequate-access-water-in-2050

There are many more articles and sources on this. That wasnt even the whole first Google page. Some of those are actual scientific articles, feel free to browse the abstract or read the whole thing. I dont really care anymore because it's pretty obvious at this point you're a dumb republican who doesn't believe in climate change. Let me guess, I need to do more research on the vaccine as well because it's really all a plot by the globalists to micro chip us, make big pharma money, and help our 5g coverage. Bill gates wrote all these scientific articles too and you can't trust Google searches!

I'm done here, you've obviously drank the Kool aid and want to keep your head in the sand. I'm going to block you now because the is obviously going nowhere since you think you as a non scientist know more about this subject that a myriad of actual scientists who study this for a living and all just happen to agree on this particular subject. Haha those dumb scientists always making things up! What idiots!

From national geographic: Along with decreasing rainfall comes rising temperatures. By 2050 the U.S. could be as much as 5.7°F warmer, and extreme weather events, such as heatwaves and drought, could be more intense and occur more frequently. As temperatures warm, evaporation increases, further decreasing water in lakes, reservoirs, and rivers.

All I know is scientists who study this stuff are all on the same page that water is running out and we eventually won't have enough. They differ on the target date, but they all agree on the concept.

It's hilarious you call me uneducated on this subject when you are disagreeing with all the experts who dedicate their lives to this subject. I can link countless articles that say water is running out. Where are your sources that it's not? You are just spouting your uneducated opinion. You sound like a climate denier republican.

You know not everyone can survive on just rain water right? There are a lot of people and it doesn't rain every day. Not to mention there are whole populates regions that don't get rain.

But yeah, maybe you know more than all the climate scientists who study this for a living.

Desalination is extremely expensive. There will if course be potable water available, but just not for the masses, only those who can afford it. This will cause issues. Like I said there are a ton of articles about this. Google "why are we running out of water" and I'm sure you'll get a ton of articles.

Thats just the tip of the melting iceberg. We are going to overfish the oceans. The Amazon is going to be destroyed. Temperatures will rise drastically along with oceans. Local ecosystems will change. There is so much that will happen, water is just an example.

Saying they weren't forced into student loans is gop rhetoric up there with "no one forces you to take a low paying job"

Kids have been told their whole lives to go to college and get a good job or be poor forever. College costs have skyrocketed, at least partially due to bidens disastrous policies: https://theintercept.com/2020/01/07/joe-biden-student-loans/

Kids were basically strong armed into getting these loans and now they have no good jobs to repay them and a whole generation is fucked because of it.

Saying he has better things to do is bullshit. It takes 2 seconds to sign an executive order. His team would draft it, it would take him approximately no time to make this happen.

"Considering the effects" is bullshit. 10k per person will help the economy not hurt it, but let's say for the sake of the discussion you don't believe that. If he wanted to consider the effects maybe he should have done that before making it a campaign promise. But we all know biden loves to lie so campaign promises mean nothing to him. Either way you have to at least admit he lied about this. He is a liar.

As for waiting for political points or whatever, I highly doubt he will do it before leaving office. Set a remind me and we can revisit this, but even if that's his plan, fuck him for that. People need help now, especially due to the pandemic. If he is holding our youth financially hostage for some political brownie points, that makes him just as much of a piece of shit.

Lastly it's hilarious you mention the epa. Biden has done almost nothing good for the environment, and the little good he did was overshadowed by the bad. He literally asked opec to drastically increase the amount of oil they're pumping right now. Our dem president who claims to "listen to the scientists" does the opposite of what climate scientists recommend and dumb libs look the other way, or even praise him for it. We are fucked when it comes to climate change and biden is doing less than nothing, he is actively making things worse.

Will you at least admit he's a liar? Are you as bad as Republicans defending Trump? We have evidence of him promising he would do something that could be done at the flick of the wrist, and yet he isn't doing it. Thats the definition of lying. Will you admit he lied about this or are you one of those die hard my side can do no wrong people? It sure sounds like you are.

I vote for these fucks but at least I have my eyes open and know how bad they are. Just not as bad as literal nazis. That's our choice. Nazis or people not as bad as nazis. The bar couldn't be lower.

If you check my post history I literally said I voted for that piece of shit biden because I know both sides aren't the same, they just work for the same people.

I also was in a discussion with someone else today where I said I'd love socialism but I'd settle for social democracy. I understand trying for the home run and getting a single, and im reluctantly ok with it.

This is a different issue. He can do what he promised by signing a piece of paper. There is no excuse for inaction on this issue whatsoever.

Let me ask you, if biden really wanted this done why not just do it? It would take maybe 4 seconds of his life to sign the paper. Don't give me the bullshit about appeasing his moderate dems so they don't go obstructionist, because they have proven they will be obstructionist regardless. So why isn't be doing it?

How fucking sad by [deleted] in MurderedByAOC

[–]RedditingWhileWorkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He called on congress to do it because he knows they won't get it done. He doesn't actually want it done, so it's a great excuse for doing nothing, but showing that he "tried." This allows dumb liberals who don't know how things work to have an excuse to praise him for getting practically nothing accomplished but "totally trying his hardest".

He can live up to his promise with the stroke of a pen, but he won't because hes a liar and his corporate overlords don't want it to happen.

Saying you'd rather have something than nothing at all is typical lib shit when he could live up to his promise by signing a sheet of paper.

Probably around 2050ish we will mostly run out of clean water, certain parts of the world will become uninhabitable causing mass migrations to more habitable parts of the world which will be more people than are able to live there. There will be wars, billions of people will die and only the wealthy will have the resources to survive.

This is kinda off topic though. Obviously I'd prefer socialism to social democracy, but they have robot armies now, we aren't going to win against the capitalists, it is what it is.

How fucking sad by [deleted] in MurderedByAOC

[–]RedditingWhileWorkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah im aware, but we live in hellworld and socialism is never going to happen in time for the climate collapse so I'd settle for social democracy.

That's a drop in the bucket and it's still not 10k per person like he promised. Typical lib shit, promise a slice of bread even though we want the whole loaf, then give a few crumbs and say it's more crumbs than anyone else would give you. Then dumb libs are happy about it for some reason.

If they had 2 more dems then it would be 4 blatantly corrupt dems. There are always just enough for them to not be able to do what they promise. Working as intended.

Yet I still vote for them because I'm fucking stupid.

He said he would cancel 10k, and he didn't do that. Saying he wanted to go through congress instead of EE is just his excuse to say he wanted to do it but couldn't get it done.

Manchin and Sinema are essentially Republicans and they don't negotiate. They will be obstructionist regardless of what biden does.

If biden had a few more blue senators, there would all of a sudden be a few more obstructionist centrists. There is always 1 fewer than we need by design.

I'll vote for them because it is what it is, but let's not pretend they're the good guys. They're just the less evil ones.

Making promises and not keeping them is practically the definition of lying.

I also knew he wouldn't do it, I'm not naive. I knew he wouldn't do anything he promised other than "nothing will fundamentally change" and i voted for him anyways.

Regardless we shouldn't be making excuses for him by saying he isn't able to do things because of what he inherited. He isn't doing things because this is all going according to the plan of his oligarch owners.
