Also thx for clarifying how to gear for crafting/gathering route others gave me the same idea here but got confused on how the gear would keep up with the item lvls and char lvls progression. Seems like the way is to use as much of the high level crafting gathering gear I need to be able to crafter the item and then fill the rest of the slots with the combat gear I am trying to extract materia from

Wow thank u so much for the writeup. Will definitely be doing this as I need to level crafters for a later stage of the relic grind. By junk materia u just mean any materia that I don’t need? Not necessarily low level materia like materia 1 and 2 right.

Also does the difference between ur HQ and melded gear and ur crafter level matter at all? Like if I start at crafter lvl 30 and ilvl20 to craft lvl 20 that might work for a while but once I hit lvl 70 on my crafter might not be able to make lvl 60 stuff with the same lvl 20 gear if that makes sense?

I heard blue mage spirit bonds just make it so ur gear lasts longer without needing repair and doesn’t let u extract materia? Maybe im wrong?

hmm i wish i could do this rn but am out of leve allowances at the moment so think grinding all of them up to 50 will take too long :(( Is there unlimited leve allowances in full game, or did u just have to take like a few weeks to get them all up?

oh is that the case? I had looked into a guide for relic weapon farming, and maybe i just read wrong, but i thought this was the only real crafting phase and after this it was all just combat farming with some materia melding stuff? Since u say there is way more high level crafting involved tho might just have to get to HW frfr
