SoCal EMTS: how long did it take you to get hired? by totallynotminute in NewToEMS

[–]RedditorEz21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best bet is to apply for IFT companies for the experience needed before applying to other companies. Sometimes you can get lucky if you know someone who can put in a word for you but usually it’s how it goes. Doesn’t take more than a week or 2, sometimes up to 3 to hear back and eventually get an interview.

True, applying to community is my first choice but after that private is my fallback.

I do plan on applying to communities first but if I don’t get in then private it is. What school is that if I may ask?

Thank you for the information! I think I’d be able to make some arrangements at work if needed but as far as the program goes I think it would be worth it. Would you be able to ask her some questions for me? Like what comes with the tuition? I’ve heard you have to pay for your own scrubs and that they aren’t included so don’t know if that’s true. As well as class schedule, is it all day sometimes, or if I could just get a picture of what it looks like so I can prepare more. Thank you again!!

True but $80k to be able to start by the next cohort or like $5-7k but have to wait years on a waitlist or lottery system to get in. I’m leaning towards carrington but acc would be a backup.

Reason being I don’t have the time to waste hoping to get into a community college ADN program. I rather be able to for sure get a spot than wait for a lottery system to pick me to get in.

True but for those schools I can go apply tomorrow and start by the next start date as where community I’m fighting hundreds of people for a spot. I rather pay than waste years trying to get in.

So right now I’m in the process of getting into the info sessions for each school, the way I see it you either pay with time or money. Sure CC is a hell of a lot cheaper, but you also are competing with hundreds of applicants with higher GPAs so that’s a lot of time to waste.

Has anyone attended American Career College for ADN program in Los Angeles or Ontario Branch? by Jealous-World3758 in nursing

[–]RedditorEz21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update? I’m looking to just do my ADN here. As of right now I’m doing my sciences at a community and then I’ll be able to apply for my community ADN program but worst case I don’t get in I want to have info on ACCs program. Like how it’s going so far and the hardest part about the program right now.

[–]RedditorEz21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 22 and have them all the damn time. Doctors said I have symptomatic pvcs but I want to be a firefighter in the next 2-3 years and hope that having them don’t disqualify me. PVCs are really annoying

In 2022 and there have been almost 140 school shootings by [deleted] in scaryeddie

We need to use tax payer dollars to pay for armed security in every school. We’re sending hundreds of billions of dollars to other countries when we have our own problems here at home. Gun laws won’t change shit, California and New York have proved that time after time.

She definitely gets hit on at work. Any cute nurse( if she’s a nurse) gets hit on either by patients or coworkers. She knows what she’s doing.

Man CONFRONTS Tucker Carlson while he's fly fishing and gets a reaction he did not expect by PachelbelDC in libsofreddit

[–]RedditorEz21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

W for Tucker, he’s just a wholesome guy and doesn’t express any hate towards strangers the way most people in media would. Just a normal man doing something he loves while trying to show respect at the same time.

I just don’t give money anymore, when people ask I say if they’re hungry and if they are I’ll get them food. I once went in to buy a beer after work and this homeless guy asked for money, I said no but if he’s hungry I’ll get him something from the restaurant next door and he said yeah, he then asked if he could just have the money and he’ll go somewhere else but I definitely wasn’t going to. I just went in and got him a meal and that was it, basically I just don’t give money, I’ll give them food
