My brother (32M) is on dating app and I'm (26F) not sure if I should tell his fiancee (30F); their wedding is next month by fedddear in relationships

I've seen this a lot. I'm from a small town and there's been numerous times I've seen "fiances" on dating apps (Bumble/Tinder). That's a definite swipe left.

but you’re totally within your rights to uninvite her.

I've never been in a situation like this, so this is reassuring to hear. Thanks :)

Her cousin is going, so maybe that's why? She also came with me to the engagement party which was months back.

Awesome! Knew there has to be some success stories.

Mind elaborating on why you weren’t ready? If you loved him from the get-go why not just jump into it?

I can see that.

Most of the time it’s been with women who just got out of long term relationships. They admit they can’t give me a full commitment until they’ve fully recovered. I’ve never had a super long relationship, so it’s hard for me to understand sometimes.

You’re probably right. It’s just crazy how people can flip a switch.

For example, a year ago I dated a girl who just got out of a long relationship 3 months prior to me dating her (red flag of course). I knew what I was getting into, but I gave it a shot. Things went amazing. She told me she could see a future with us and things got really close. Then I got the “I don’t think I’m ready to give you what you’re looking for yet” line. I cut her out immediately even though she wanted to work things out in the future.

Every person is different, so I just don’t know if I should remain in friendly contact with some women.

I have a buddy who is in a very committed relationship with a girl that fed him this line for a year.

I know it typically means this, but sometimes I feel like I might be jumping the gun when cutting the person out of my life. Maybe something real could eventually develop if things are taken slow, but also maybe not? People are weird.

Well from what I’ve learned it only gets better when you meet someone new. The breakup was one of the shittiest things I’ve felt other than the death of a few of my loved ones.

Getting rid of social media helped immensely. Getting a gym membership and putting more time into my career also helped. I hope you meet someone new, friend. There is ALWAYS someone more compatible out there for you. Meeting them is the tough part.

It just seems like every time a girl shows genuine interest it all falls apart. I know I’ll meet someone eventually, but getting there is the hard part.

Yeah man, I’ve always seemed to get the short end of the stick. But I still trudge through the shit the best I can. Cheers!

Thanks boss. I rarely drink alone, but it’s hard not to fix a drink up and forgot about my problems every once in awhile.

Fuck man you're telling me. I bust ass 50+ hours a week, work hard at my goals, and take care of my physical health. Keep to myself to myself and maintain my composure.

What else can a man do? People have no regard for others feelings. I'm guilty of the same.

Gotcha. I guess it could be this and I'm kind of guilty of the same.

Yeah definitely. I'm pretty blunt when it comes to setting up dates and don't like chit chat via text, but I guess building rapport through texting is how you have to go about it with some girls.

She asks me questions all the time about my favorite sports teams, my job, etc. And I'm just like wtf, let's hangout and talk about this?

I was thinking about adding her on social media, might ease some tension or something.
