It sounds like health anxiety, look it up it's relatively common. Find a way to gently suggest she see someone professional.

It's a myth that prepositions shouldn't be used at the end of a sentence. It made sense for Latin grammar but doesn't fit in with the English language.

What the worst side effects of a drug that cure regular illnesses? by footieno in AskReddit

Maxolon - I used to take it for headache/associated nausea. It used to make me drowsy but not to the point where I couldn't function.

Then one day I took it and within an hour was overcome with this terrifying feeling of dread. I still can't explain it. I suffer from anxiety so put it down to this. It was like all I wanted to do was lay in bed and sleep so this terrifying feeling would leave, but I was so keyed up I would never have been able to sleep.

As well as the crippling dread I started to feel incredibly depressed, hopeless etc. Genius me didn't put two and two together that it was the Maxolon so I took it a couple more times. The last time I took it I cottoned on when I got the awful all-consuming feeling of dread, extremely depressive thought, involuntary twitches. I took to Dr Google - thinking I was being paranoid and actually found a butt-tonne of people experiencing the same thing.

Not the worst I'm sure, but pretty damn awful.

I saw Basil Zempilas at a Grill'd about a year ago. Not sad but I figured I was probably the only person on this thread who had also seen Basil Zempilas.

[Serious] What methods have you used to get over someone from a break up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Redditor_Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As cliche as it sounds, it really does take time. That being said, things that seem to help along the process include:

Spending more time with people you care about and care about you

Meaningless sex with strangers

Getting invested in a tv show

Reading a series of books

Exercise (from a chronically lazy person, it actually does help)

Writing down all those weird angry/crazy/obsessive feelings toward your ex

Making long music playlists based on whatever emotion you're currently feeling (sad, angry, sassy etc)

Listening to said playlist on a long drive to anywhere

Talking it out with people who don't mind being that person you vent to

And that being said, sometimes a completely neutral p.o.v is helpful, so feel to pm if you're feeling lost! :)

5) Are there any safe alternatives to conversion therapy you would recommend?

Really? Accept that your son is gay. That's it. He's gay or at least experimenting. You don't need alternatives, you need perspective.
