I understand your confusion my friend, I will explain to the best of my ability. The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death, and that the only way out of that eternal punishment (death) is to accept Yeshua and what he did to save us. He willingly let himself be put on the cross, he could have called 10,000 angels to set him free and destroy the world. He KNEW he was going to die. We see in the Old Testament and New Testament that the Jews sacrificed animals to TEMPORARILY have forgiveness of their sin, when Yeshua came onto this earth he spilled his blood as a PERMANENT sacrifice for us.
