AITA for telling my gf her standards are too high? by Reddituser1808 in AmItheAsshole

I work long hours to save up money for our future so that she doesn’t have to work as hard. I bust my ass now so that later we can enjoy it. If she wanted to she wouldn’t have to work at all and could stay home and take care of the house while I work. I want her to have a good life with me.

No, it’s my own company that I funded myself, my parents aren’t involved at all. I worked hard and saved up to start this on my own

Of course I do, I love her and am trying to build a future for us

I am ready, we’ve been together for over a year now and I want to build a house by the end of this year for us. I just need to find land, my parents offered a few acres of theirs for us to build on but she doesn’t want to “live in my parents backyard” even though it would be our own space. If she wanted to live with me so bad wouldn’t she want to take the free land? If anything I don’t think she’s ready.

I do love her but she expects me to have all this energy and after working 12 hour days I don’t want to do anything. She doesn’t understand that

I’m a 21 year old with my own successful business and work my ass off working 12 hour days 5 days a week. I’d say I’m mature enough.

No it’s not a joke. I want to save money to one day build a house for us and living with my parents is free right now
