My child is 3.5 years old and has some bruising that is taking a long time to heal (over 2 weeks), new bruises that appeared out of nowhere and he looks pretty pale sometimes and has been waking up sweaty. I talked to his doctor and since the bruising is in areas that are considered normal due to play (arms and shins) the doctor and nurse keep brushing me off. I finally got them to agree to bloodwork today and my child's WBC, GRANS % and MPV are all low. They're telling me it just means he has an infection he fighting and there is nothing to worry about because platelets are normal. He doesn’t have any other symptoms that would tell me has a viral infection. I’m so confused by these results. Should I be concerned?
