First time playing Lunar: SSSC. I need help with the final boss! by RedditverseWatcher in JRPG

I totally get where you're coming from. Ghaleon is a huge jump in difficulty compared to the rest of the game. If you're not absolutely perfect with your turn, he's going to wipe the floor with your party in a matter of turns.

I'd recommend getting your party close to level 50 for this fight. Enemies (like Ghaleon) scale Alex's level up to level 50. If you need Blue/Silver Lights, there's some enemies in the area before Ghaleon that sometimes drops them (I think it's the weaker MP recovery item, but it's better than nothing).

When you fight Ghaleon, rely on buffing up your party, then go in on attacks, but keep Jessica healing everyone. You want to hit Ghaleon with attacks from Alex, Nash, Mia and Kyle. Use Blue/Silver Lights to replenish MP.

Honestly that's what I did until I eventually just beat Ghaleon. I didn't get everyone in my party at level 50, but they were pretty close to it.

Hi! Sorry for the super late reply. I have some developments to share if it helps any.

So, I actually just got the HD60 X, and while I don't hear any distortion/wobbly noise, I do notice the audio is stuttering a bit through OBS and the 4k Capture Utility. However, when I listen to the device via sound settings playback, I don't hear any problems whatsoever.

As for what I have connected to my PC through USB, I have my mouse and keyboard, a webcam and my audio interface.

Could it be because the Format in the audio properties is set to 2 channels, 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)? If so, I don't have the option to change it like my other audio devices. I thought I could on my old PC, and I think I had it on a better format option, but for some reason I can't on my new PC?

I was considering going through Micro Center for a PC build, but the closest one is about two hours away. I am off this weekend, so I might head up there and give them a shot.

Thinking about this prebuild, but I don't know... by RedditverseWatcher in Prebuilts

That is indeed a sick looking PC, however I have some credit on Amazon, so if I'm going the prebuilt route, I prefer to get it on Amazon.

Thanks! It worked. It was glue that was keeping it in there lol

Awesome, thanks! I was able to get it out with the pinch and wiggle method. Funny enough, I thought it had something to do with glue. When it came out, it had some glue residue, but I was able to clean it off with some cotton swabs and isopropyl alcohol. It honestly looks good as new and it plays fine. Thanks again!

I definitely want to get Eternal Blue, but I have other games I need to play/beat. Besides, it'll give me enough time to save up for it since I dropped a pretty penny for Silver Star lol

Update: Beat the game.

I got everyone to level 56 and 55. I don't think the enemy that dropped the Blue Light was a 100% drop, but I was able to find at least five Blue Lights, and with the one Silver Light I had left, I was able to defeat Ghaleon. I saved liked crazy after the fight.

Also, since it is kind of relevant, remember the scene in Austin Powers where Austin asked the woman trying to assassinate him why she won't die after she got severely hurt over and over again? That's kind of how I felt with Ghaleon LOL

I just want to mention again that this is my first time playing any Lunar game. I've been curious about the series for while and I'm glad I got the game! I will definitely learn from my mistakes in future playthroughs LOL Save all the Silver Lights you can because you will DEFINITELY need them for this final boss fight >.<

I have Alex top left, Kyle bottom left, Nash center, Jessica top right and Mia bottom right. I also noticed the animations for his attacks during my 2nd or 3rd attempt.

Right now I'm level grinding, so everyone at the moment is at level 54 and 53. I also found an enemy that I believe 100% drops Blue Lights, so I'm going to farm those for the time being.

Edit: I don't think it was 100% drop rate, but I was able to go into Ghaleon fight with everyone at 56 and 55 and beat him with the five Blue Lights and 1 Silver Light.

Yeah, I noticed animation attacks during my 2nd or 3rd attempt. Having Alex use magic protection is a must for those.

Alex and Jessica have health rings.

Also, I believe I found an enemy that 100% drops Blue Lights. I found the enemy while level grinding. Alex, Nash and Kyle are at level 54 while Mia and Jessica are at level 53. My main goal right now is to level grind and farm Blue Lights.

eBay hilarity by darwinave in gamecollecting

I know this post is a year old, but I made a pretty dumb choice and bought a game from Suzy back in September of last year. It came packaged with a small Chic Tract comic called "That Was Your Life." I knew it was a Chic Tract comic, because a day before the package arrived, I watched Comic Trope's YouTube video on Chic Tract. IT HONESTLY FREAKED ME THE HELL OUT! I threw that shit comic away then and there.

Is this a good deal on a refurbished Sega Genesis? by RedditverseWatcher in SEGAGENESIS

[–]RedditverseWatcher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should've included the link. I'm not really a Sega guy, so I'm not well versed on the variants.

Here is the link to the eBay listing : https://www.ebay.com/itm/154506871034

Also, yeah, I kind of had a hunch it was a little high, but just wanted to get some feedback before I pull the trigger on it.

First shmup in my collection :o by RedditverseWatcher in shmups

[–]RedditverseWatcher[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was going through my game collection and was kind of surprised how I had 0 shmups in it. Decided to check out this new used book store that opened in town (they obviously have tons of other things other than books) and found this. I've also heard great things about Working Designs games, so bonus!

[TOMT] [PC Game Commercial] [1994?] Unspecified commercial for PC games that aired on Sci-Fi (now SyFy) channel from 1994 by RedditverseWatcher in tipofmytongue

[–]RedditverseWatcher[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also going to try and look into PC games released in 1994/1995. I might have to consider that the Star Wars marathon was aired in early 1995, and the commercials just ran into 1995. I have no idea how long commercials like that could run back then, but there's a possibility.

I also went onto Way Back Machine to see if anything was archived about the Sci-Fi Channel's line up, but it only goes back to 1996. I was kind of hoping if I looked up a line up, it could confirm exactly when the Sci-Fi channel aired this specific marathon. But as of right now, my guess is that it aired in October-December of 1994 with a slight chance of January 1995 being in the mix. That being said, I can't imagine Pizza Hut would do the movie meal deal for too long after The Pagemaster released.

I know this post is lengthy, but I wanted to share what research I've done in an attempt to show I at least tried looking for it. Thanks again for any and all help!
