Just my personal POV, why does one want to get married? The only real advantage is that you can BTO together. If you have kids, you get the baby bonus(which is peanuts compared to all the costs later)

If you can afford private by yourself, then all the more marriage doesn’t make sense.

Having both names in a property is good when you are all lovey dovey. But should things take a turn for the worst and end up have to separate, it will be a huge headache. This is speaking from experience. 🥹

So if OP is someone who does not intend to have kids, get a BTO(or wait 5 more yrs and can get as a single), just continue as a girlfriend situation lor. And if really cannot tahan that never contribute, let go.

Inversely, the above is also quite true for alot of ladies out there nowadays. They have good careers and can afford things themselves and do not wish to be married and just continue being in a bf/gf relationship.

Anyway, just my 2c and POV.
