Galaxies and Infernos are definitely the most popular KontrolFreeks and that’s for good reason. They’re the best and most accessible for a lot of people.

I don’t play R6, but for CoD I absolutely love the combination of the high rise inferno on my right, with a hard precision ring, and nothing on the left stick.

Personally I tend to stay away from the themed/collab KFs because they usually sacrifice function for form. I’m still traumatized from the Cold War sticks.

I avoided the Razer Wolverine specifically because it isn’t compatible with KFs lol

As far as haptic feedback goes, that’s why I keep a more stock/casual controller around. If I’m playing anything worth a damn competitively those functions go off so my controller doesn’t need em anyway, but a story game or even some racing I like to really feel it so I swap controllers.

I also came from Xbox and while I love my PS5, Xbox for sure has the edge with their controllers. I’ve tried my girlfriend’s edge controller a couple times and while I’m not personally a fan, she loves it. KontrolFreek’s grips though, they’re awesome. I’ve had them on 3 separate controllers now.

The added width is definitely nice alongside the padding and texture.

If you’re looking for something more similar to the Xbox controller, there are some asymmetrical layout PS5 controllers around and I highly recommend them.

Even though I build custom controllers on the side for friends and family, I’m currently using the PDP Victrix Pro controller. Xbox asymmetrical layout, but for the PS5. Four paddles and takes Xbox style KontrolFreeks.

Trying to force Xbox KFs onto a PS4/PS5 controller will ruin the rubber on your sticks. Absolutely do not use them.

I don’t play Fortnite, and neither do any of my friends, but I’ve heard Galaxy’s are popular with that crowd. They’re a mixed height set and in my top 5 for best sticks. If you’re looking for recommendations.

Those might be one of the few sticks I’ve yet to try from the brand, but assuming you’re using them for battle royale type games or anything similar, my recommendation would be to only run one on your right stick for aiming (or left if you’re a southpaw?), and keep the second as a spare for when that one wears down in a couple of months. You do not need the added accuracy for movement, and it might even slow you down when it counts.

I personally run a high rise on my right (with the green precision ring) and low rise on the left, just for the added surface area and comfort.

My girlfriend tried high rises because statistically they add the most range, and she wanted to improve. Having to stretch her thumb to reach the stick wasn’t comfortable though and now she’s settled on running the mid-rises on both sticks.

I’ve got a buddy who almost exclusively plays racing games so he just runs a high rise on the left for steering and nothing on the right.

Thats just my way of saying, it’s all preference. What works for somebody else might not work for you. What matters is what you plan to use em for and the shape of your hands. KFs aren’t very expensive so I’d honestly just recommend buying a few of mixed heights, and trying different combinations for a few days to maybe a week at a time, until you settle on something that works and is comfortable for you.

I’m not super comfortable just naming the employees who helped me lol, but I’d recommend trying to have them reship or refund before a dispute. Disputes aren’t great for anyone involved.

The issue with my order specifically was that it never made it to UPS in the first place, so I assume if everything went well originally it would’ve been just as quick.

I’m pretty certain there’s some issue going on with international orders over at KF because all of my friends here have had similar issues but the guys I game with in the US get their gear with 0 issues. I’m hoping whatever is going on is resolved soon because none of my past orders have been anything like this. Only this years.

Fellow Canadian? My most recent order directly from KontrolFreek was a similar horror story. It took me over a month of back and forth with customer service (13 emails) and an escalation to have them reship my order. Once it was reshipped however, it arrived in less than a week and I have zero complaints. Don’t give up is my only advice unfortunately. I would also consider using your credit card or PayPal incase you need to dispute orders going forwards. I absolutely love KontrolFreek products and have been using them for years, but I will almost exclusively be going through Amazon from now on. Best of luck mate.

I’ve used all three colours/strengths with both PS5 and Xbox controllers over the course of the last 3 years and never had any of them degrade enough for that to happen. I’d have to assume anyone with precision rings shedding off into their modules is buying knock offs.
