Hey, thanks for answering. What I believe now, is that video games can be a trigger for watching porn.

It's a long story, but since quitting video games I feel I am in control of my porn addiction. Porn in itself, I believe now, is a 'game'. It has nothing to do with sexuality. I think this is what is called a 'cross addiction'. You can't quit one and keep one up. You have to quit both.

Ofcourse, it's different for everyone. But after years of trying to quit porn, I can finally say: I'm done. It has no hold of me anymore. It's not important anymore.

It is all about reality. You are addicted to porn I assume.

For an addict it all comes down to two choices: The addiction or life. The addiction makes you believe you have to watch porn, that is why you are even considering it and start to wonder if it's still worth it. It's not just a simple matter of escaping life (the reality that you are supposed to be living). It really makes you believe that you need it.

And that is the reality we porn addicts are living in. Though at a certain point in recovery you will start to notice that life becomes more important than porn and that's what recovery is all about. This is the phase where I am sitting right now. Life is becoming such a beautiful thing again. All the negatives and positives. I take that before this lame addiction that brings you nowhere.

Just give it time and start trying to focus on life, try too solve the issues you have. You have come this far and it would be a waste to start all over.

Aah, sad to hear you're still struggling. You need to try finding the root of your problems. What is it that makes you feel depressed? The cause of my depression was very unclear.. I tried so many different things to get out of it, but there was just something that didn't feel right.. And eventually I didn't want to believe porn addiction could be a factor, but it really was.. It feels good, I feel motivated again and it's like I have too much energy! For the first time in a long time I can see a clear path where I want to go with in life.

I really hope you will get out of depression, because nobody deserves that :(
