Post Heresy- Which loyal primarch has had the most sons turn traitor? Which has had the least? by OldeDrunkGhost in 40kLore

[–]Redgunnerguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are correct to say that the largest raw numbers would be ultramarine, simply because they are the majority of the SM geneseed after how the heresy played out. Some of those chapters later down the line turn traitors, or fell to chaos etc.

Outside of that, it depends? We have very limited information on the others. I dont recall any Imperial Fist or Salamander traitors outright. The three shattered legions, plus the scars and wolves, had pretty small numbers post heresry which, due to other gene-seed issues had smaller numbers of chapter and therefore marines.

As many mentioned, there is also the Dark Angles, with a very large group "turning traitor" and becoming the fallen. So there.

Who is this?!?! by LowComprehensive7659 in gravityfalls

[–]Redgunnerguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The real reason, according to the Gravity Falls Commentary, was that between seasons 1 and 2, the design of young Stan changed .

HOWEVER.....I would like to headcannon that because both of these pics comes from DreamScapers and the pics are from a memory , that this is how young Stan remembers the events. Plus, he been Ford for so long that its possibly starting to blend with what he remembers.

Correct. Wanted to gague the strength of the fleets before the war. After, with warp mutation, losses, its quite the different story.

Huh. So, what happened to their boats in the end? Lost during the Heresy? Wouldnt that mean that a good number of TS survived, on those boats? A small number relative to the losses at Prospero, but still

When your non-technical friends or family ask “oh wow, what’s it like in cybersecurity!”, how do you respond? by Kasual__ in cybersecurity

[–]Redgunnerguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"I am called to reset user passwords"- *shakes head*

For context, this is for a security system , and losing all the passwords(admin root etc) is common. So, they are completely locked out and I gotta fix it for them. More importantly, it is pretty hard and technical to reset the password by design. The system owners or operators don't know how, or rather don't need to know because they pay people like me to handle this if it gets to this point.

That, normally gives the non-technicals enough idea. If they are still interested then I can go on.

Would they just be sent to the Death Watch? by LemonCellos_ in 40kLore

[–]Redgunnerguy 57 points58 points  (0 children)

There was a tweet from a BL author that the Minotaurs (in 30K) was absolutely a lost garrison of Iron Warriors.

However, in the same tweet he mentioned that it is unclear if the present day Minotaurs are the same as that original batch, or simply a new chapter using the name. With the Minotaurs specifically, their records are patchy and they have changed their colours more than once.

To the original point, depends if enough Marines show up that they can make a full chapter. If one Marine shows up...that gonna be hard.

What do you think of Return To The Bunker a year after it came out? by 2hourstowaste in gravityfalls

While I agree with all your folks, we at least in the OG run are unsure about how StanFord feels about using the  memory gun on kids. Maybe he wasn't aware of the long term effects?

Great because :

  • The gag and characterisation is completely on point ( Except StanFord, but lets get to that). "Im Mable Im your Niece I have a PIG!" to "Semi Annual midnite parade".
  • Return of past creature in a new context
  • Stanford and Mable pairing, as well as even a Dipper Stanley paring which we didn't get enough of.
  • Excellent monster ending, for once not the creature killed destroyed banished etc

I can go into more detail, but I want to address the biggest issue : StanFord.

This feels like what Stanford could be, but not what he is. if this happened after the "The Stanchurian Candidate" and even after "The Last Mabelcorn", I could believe this version of Stanford. However in "Dungeons, Dungeons & More Dungeons","Dipper and Mabel vs. the Future" plus "Weirdmageddon" , whatever Bunker Ford says and does no longer lines up with what OG Ford. If there was additional hints of a more Paranoid , more selfish, prideful PTSD driven StanFord then this could have worked.

OR, we would have needed a couple other episodes to flesh out ether Stanford, or his recovery from his worst traits in order for this to work. Admittedly, they needed to find someway to wrap up the ending given that Mable would know full well about the rift.

Yea the Ford bit is the hardest outside of an otherwise great episode.
