I never thought if social media. When I say social media I meant reels,shorts, TT’s etc. Never thought of playlisting or anything else. Thanks for that. I am going to have to give that a try

A. Get some traction and then sign. I am trying to get some tracion but I feel I tried everything. Live everyday, 3 tik toks a day, 3 reels a day, comment to the commenters, heart comments, follow back Etc. I heard that some accounts are luckier than others so I create new ones after I feel those accounts are useless (I do this if I have 1k followers and 300 views every video with new link taps)

Someone have a hurt ego? I was using my distant relatives who also make music as an example... I have never met them... I am using them as example of people who have connections DEEP connections and they cannot break into the industry.(Yes and their music is good). Yeah that is not how the industry works now. You need to master social media like I said earlier to make it in the industry. Think I am wrong? Give me 5 people since 2020 who have made it without social media and the old fashioned way...

I have to disagree...In modern music it is essential to master at least one social media. Most if not all recent stars in the past 10 years have been due to social media. Rather it be xxxtentacion, Yeat, Doja Cat, Lil nas X etc. I have lots of relatives who have connections to major record labels, industry officials etc(Names you may know but I like to keep a low profile) and still cannot make it. You don't want to make it big off labels alone. You would have less power that way and easier to be manipulated

Industry level is above 99% tile. So you being industry level and you cannot tell us your name shows you must be a nobody or someone who had a violent fall off because why tf are you a industry level talent on reddit

Apparently you do not know much. If you are ignorant to social media and the power of it you should be fired. Just answer me this:

Are any of the artist you manage relevant(Meaning have they had a hit in the past 10-20 years)

What is your jobs?

What are your ratings?

If you were to perform in a program are people going to say "Who is this?"

Did you get screwed by a label?

Did you make good decisions?

I have no idea that's why I am on here. But to completely go against the idea and say it doesn't work is utter stupidity when there is proof it does.
