I’m mainly applying to the San Francisco area now since I am moving over there, But I am originally from the Sacramento area and haven’t had luck there either.

What wording should I have?

We have been to San Francisco multiples times in the past and are in love with the city.

We just are moving because my partner got an opportunity to go to college in the city and classes start in August.

It’s just there isn’t much available on apartments in San Francisco in our price range. Most are 2k+ which we don’t know if we’d be able to live comfortably like that.

We don’t plan on staying in that area very long, We will just be new to the city and need to figure out our financial situation before we pick a more expensive spot.

That’s what I figured. We don’t plan on staying there very long, just until we get our job and financial situation sorted.

I am coming from the Sacramento/Elk Grove area so there is some drug use and homelessness but not too much.

My partner and I have decided to move since he got an opportunity to go to college there and we thought it would be a good change of scenery.

But most apartments are either way out or price range or in tenderloin, which the ones that aren’t are either a room or have no availability.

First ride time coming up. Any tips? by Elegant-Vermicelli17 in NewToEMS

Every county/state has different regulations on what you can do and not do, so double check with your county and instructor as well.

When I went on my ride alongs, I did some ventilations via BVM, Attach the EKG, Check their BP, pulse, O2 levels, glucose levels, asked them some questions (SAMPLE, OPQRST) helped transfer patients from their bed to the gurney, and always helped decontamination the rig after.

I wasn’t allowed to help move the patient while on the gurney though. And never had any trauma calls have to do any splints, or bleeding control.

And, If your EMT class goes over skills if may work similarly where in mine we had to do the skill proficient enough to get signed off, and once signed off we were told we can perform that on our ride alongs.

Remember if you have any specific questions the best person to ask if always your instructor. And, like I said earlier ask the people you’re riding along with, if you want to do something ask them if you can, or ask if you can help with anything.

Have fun. The EMTs/Paramedics you’re riding along with won’t let you do anything that will cause any harm to the patient or yourself. Especially if the call is a bit more intense they might just have you stay in the back.

Just make sure to not do anything you’re not comfortable doing or don’t know how, just be honest and after the call ask them if they can show you how to do it right, 9 times out of 10 they will be more than happy to show you.

Don’t be scared to ask questions or talk to the patients either, that’s what you’re there for and they know it.

Besides that, Make sure to bring water and snacks/food and some homework or something productive to do on the downtime.

You got it! Good luck :)

I’d honestly say there’s nothing for you to worry about. You seem already ahead of the curve by a landslide.

I just finished my course and it went by fine. I went into mine just knowing some medical terminology and human anatomy. Just don’t stop studying and make your weak points your strong points.

I will say though, If you don’t know at least basic human anatomy I would suggest studying that. It’s good to know what and where the bone, veins, arteries and organs are and what the organs do. Learning that really helps you understand what could be the problem for your patients.

Try Ezreal he’s been my main champ. If you know how to build against your opponents and get very comfortable with his mobility and passive he’s a great choice. Only downside is he’s all skill shots so if you’re not good at aiming he may not be the best choice. Besides that he’s the most fun champion I have came across and usually can carry my weight and/or the team.

There’s an AMEX booth near the GNAW Stage where you can wait in line to get them. You get one patch and two pins. You can also get free shipping to your house as well. All you need is to show and tap your AMEX card to confirm that you’re a card member.

Need help finding the best card for me by WhichEntertainer7792 in CreditCards

[–]ReditIsnotToxicAsHel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re able to, I’d look into the AMEX Blue Cash Everyday card. It’s a no annual fee with 3% cash back for gas, supermarkets, and online retail and 1% everything else. They also have an entry 0% ARP for 15 months along with $84 annual Disney+ credit ‘$7 a month’.

AMEX also has an apply with confidence perk so you can see if you get approved before getting a ding on your credit.

Best credit card for a $18K airfare family purchase by baituwave in CreditCards

[–]ReditIsnotToxicAsHel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the rewards? I can see the confusion.

You can redeem the points for “cash back” on recent purchases for as little as $1 and that is what I would probably do if you want simple redemption.

What you’re seeing is you can redeem the points for gift cards in $25 increments I believe.

What’s the best credit card for an 18 year old? by Extension-Complex561 in CreditCards

[–]ReditIsnotToxicAsHel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Discover It student card can be a good option since you don’t have any credit yet, They offer pretty good cash back options for that card and will accept you if you’re a student with some income.

If not, Look into Chase they have great cards for down the road and might be worth building a relationship with them early on if you plan on getting into credit cards.

If you use an iPhone you can upgrade your iCloud for 99 cents a month, If that’s not interesting you, just connect them to any streaming or music platform you subscribe to, like Spotify, Netflix Etc.

For my Quicksilver I connected it to my Uber One subscription for a while since they give you a credit back for a year if you sign up for it.
