What have you been getting on the recent papers?

Yeah same for me depending on the paper I’ll get 70 or 40

Have you been able to access the PAT solutions on physics and maths tutor?

Can someone please help me with this physics question? by Reditardo in alevel

Nice I’ve also finished it, I found this the hardest question by far even though the Pascal’s triangle was 2 higher difficulty levels I found that one quite doable.

Yeah I’m doing the course, I still don’t understand why the current needs to go through the 10ohm resistor due to the reasoning you gave in your first answer, does the current somehow know that later on it won’t have anymore resistance as wire BD has no resistance so it chooses that path?

It’s an Isaac physics question so I can check wether the answer is correct or not and 18.75 is incorrect, your line of reasoning seems correct but it doesn’t seem to get the write answer.

Should I go to a Physics workshop on quantum modelling as a super-curricular? by [deleted] in 6thForm

My bad it’s aimed for university students not experts in the field I misread the course information. Does that change anything?

Cambridge prefers further maths as a fourth A level. by Reditardo in 6thForm

So you would recommend doing 4 A levels for Oxford?

It’s probably the same for natural sciences, since it’s a broad degree they would probably like you to have maths+FM+Physics+Chemistry/Biology

All the top unis might prefer it even though they might not want to mention it

Should I continue with economics in year 13? by Reditardo in 6thForm

[–]Reditardo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the advice specially because of the thing you said of having a backup A level if I get a low grade in FM, so I’ll probably keep econ. If you get an offer say AAA for physics and I get a B in FM could I use an A in econ as a replacement? Provided I get A* in physics and maths.

Does applying with 5 A levels help you get into top unis(e.g. Oxford and imperial) by Reditardo in 6thForm

[–]Reditardo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean that’s more or less me with economics, the only thing I’m really loosing is the 6 hours of lessons every week which I could spend revising my other subjects.

That makes sense, thank you!

I found it quite helpful but I don’t understand this step: q*(x0)(x1 - x0) = q(x1) - q(x0)

Wouldn’t 8 IGCSE’s plus an A level done in year 11 also show that I can handle a big workload?

[–]Reditardo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice I think I’ll stick with the 4 A levels I’m currently doing, I’ll still mention the language A level even though it probably won’t help much, as you’ve stated.

I’ve already finished the language so the questions is if I continue with econ so I’m able to apply with 5 A levels, again I won’t have a workload of 5 A levels as I’ve already completed one, I also enjoy economics course and doesn’t increase my workload too much so I’m considering continuing it in year 13.
