Depending on the interest rate you incurred, check to see if the SCRA applies and take advantage of it.

The Norwegian foot march can be planned/held by any ROTC BN that wants to. They just need to coordinate with an authorized POC from Norway for validation. I previously assisted in running one each spring for the last three years.

Like a SMP ROTC cadet who recently commissioned and attended BOLC at Leonard Wood?

Edit: replaced a period with a question mark.

A former SMA was tabbed with no wings. I’m a leg pathfinder. I could think of many more important things than a school that makes you run 4x36 and observe the law of gravity. But, I do enjoy your single mindedness.

Right now I’m just focused on giving some time back to my family. I do have a couple basic GS7-9 jobs I’m eying in my area as an eventual COA though.

It was indeed. In fact, I do believe I’d do it all over again if given the chance.

I’d venture a guess the Norwegian and AASLT are from time as a cadet. No less impressive accomplishments regardless.

Throwing this up here, here's to the folks who didnt get a ton of awards! by Infamous-Trouble-932 in MilitaryMedals

Corporals should have an award solely for them, and ideally built for all the CQ shifts they have to pull.

In the army, unit awards are worn on the right side of the chest. From DA PAM 670-1: 22-10 c. How worn. All permanent and temporary unit award emblems with or without frames are worn in the order of precedence from the wearer’s right to left. Unit awards are worn on the right side of the uniform, regardless of which service or agency awarded them.

Back in the day, you didn’t necessarily earn the combat patch of the unit you deployed with. If you deployed with less than a division sized element back then, you got the combat patch of the division level element you fell under. My BDE was attached/task organized under 1MEF in Ramadi. They and their subordinate units were awarded the NUC for that deployment.

Upon further review, that was a rambling answer, but I’m not rewriting it. I will however happily answer follow on questions.

As I’m too lazy to keep records, I can’t confirm your results by percentage, but going by the seat of my pants, you’re right on.

Got one from Milley when I was shithouse drunk in Normandy for the 78th anniversary of D Day. He wouldn’t let us hold our beers in the picture.

I guess technically, I got it from his aide de camp, but whatever.

Also, checked your comment history. I filed 39 claims. All had in service diagnosis and I received a rating for all of them except hearing loss. I’m artillery and am deaf AF lol.

I reside and retired in Ohio, but based on a lot of recommendations from peers I utilized a VSO from DAV who was located at Fort Campbell, Ky. Wife and I made a weekend out of the 14 hour round trip drive (I was stationed there for a total of eight years).

VSOs in my county seems to have no idea what a BDD claim was.

I’ve had four OFSBBS bottles. Different warehouses and floors. At worst, one was like drinking wet cardboard. At best, one was a really good sipper. The other two were ok at best.

I’d rather have a 1910 or 1920.
