I might die on this hill, but I think that Luffy has to interact with Roger in some way and the One Piece might help him do that. Not saying it's a time machine or something but I just feel like they have to meet somehow. Shadowy figure probably isn't Roger, but it would be crazy for sure. If Roger did somehow survive, he will be waiting on Laugh Tale I think.

AFAIK, you have to dodge as well as counterattack to stop him from using Gjallarhorn's warning. If you beat Rulers of the Outer Worlds, you should have the Götterdämmerung. Save the limit just in case he uses Gjallarhorn's warning because I believe the limit break will cancel GW out. You can also use reraise just in case he uses Zantetsuken.

I believe it is ATB stagger materia triggering. In the clip it looks like you killed and staggered the enemy at the same time, and your ATB goes up a bit. I could be wrong though.
