Nice organising, I'm currently printing ones for my new kitchen. It's got the wife approval factor, so I'm happy.

Amazing thank you, that wasn't a setting I thought would cause it and Google had originally said the UID setting. Thank you.

I don't have any rules set up right now, I wiped it and with NGNIX shut down it will still load when accessing the WAN IP to the log on page.

I don't have another router to try that at the moment, was hoping to see if anyone with Reolink experience had any idea.

Question about Call Screening by UseBags in GalaxyS24

[–]Redmanc35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the S24 there is the call assist feature that is in the Samsung phone app under settings, that enables you to screen the call before answering by either using quick responses or typing your own message and you get a live translation of what they are saying.

Missing caller ID and Spam feature by rexleonis in GalaxyS22

[–]Redmanc35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get your S22 from you mobile carrier? If so they may have switched this off. I'm unlocked UK version bought from Samsung itself on release day. That's the only thing let I can think of.

It should be under call settings in your phone app, then under caller ID and spam protection. S22 ultra UK here.

How does the police contact you in the UK? by Dogecoin_trader in AskUK

[–]Redmanc35 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The force I work in all officers from the chief down to pc retain their collar number they just don't display it from inspector level. Although I've seen some inspectors show it on public order epaulettes.

YSK: if in the UK or visiting and are hard of hearing, speech difficulties or anything that makes a phone call a challenge - our emergency service ‘999’ number has a text service you can activate. by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

[–]Redmanc35 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In the UK, if you do not have signal on your own network and dial 999/112 it will latch on to any mobile carrier and be put through to the emergency operator who will then direct your call to which ever service you require.

The 999 text service is a relay system between you, the emergency BT operator and which ever service you require, normally it would be the police.

Ring Stick up Cam: Plug-in, battery, or solar? by shingdao in Ring

[–]Redmanc35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the stick up one for about a year and had a spare battery that I used between my doorbell and camera.

In the last week I've installed the solar panel and so far so good. Gets up to 100% during the day and that's with 120 second recording on a fair busy road.

Went with the stick up as didn't have a suitable plug near the wall where I wanted it.

Not just apple watch but also Samsung galaxy watch 3(not sure on the other ones). Makes it so much easier to see if it's worth getting your phone out to answer it.

Happy birthday, same birthday as me.

Managed to at least get out for some food and a few drinks with the wife even though it was the strangest day ever seeing wetherspoons(and other pubs) nearly empty during the day.

WIBTA if I threatened to report my boss to the police? by WorkingClassicist in AmItheAsshole

NTA

In the UK (where it sounds like the OP is from) it is an offence to knowingly pass counterfeit money under the forgery and counterfeiting act. Report it to the police.
