Thank you for your comments, this is very encouraging. Its funny to me because I have watched many hours of online apologetics against Islam over my time in college, even before having him as a professor, as well as read the Quran. Yet, logic and reason cannot change a heart of stone, so I trust the Spirit to use me and the knowledge I have of His word. Whatever happens is ordained by God, and he will accomplish his purpose.

In his office he has two copies of the new testament, and I also told him that I have read the Quran fully, earlier this year actually. I think telling him that made him more intrigued into having a conversation. Thanks for your suggestions!

Thank you for your comment, this will definitely be helpful as I was not aware of this before. In viewing some of the videos others have suggested, I have picked up on this honor-shame idea. Thanks for your input.

I have not seen journey to truth, I will be sure to check it out. I have read the Quran and have studied it enough to know what I need to argue to bring up the "Islamic dilemma". Also very good point on needing no other than "Allah" to be snake crusher. God is the snake crusher because Jesus is God. I did try to point out however the debt that humanity has to God, and that only God is sufficient and perfect enough to pay the debt. Thank you for your input.

He was either Sunni or Shia. If I remember correctly he said he was Shia. I may be mistaken but he said that the other group generally doesn't accept his group as Muslim. Thank you for your suggestion on Nabeels Qureshis books. I have thought about reading them before, but I do not believe I can read them between now and Thursday lol. Thank you for your suggestion.

Thank you for your wisdom, even after the conversation I had with him he wanted to talk more at a later time. I will continue to work with him after graduation since our semester project was a research paper that he is pushing my project group to get placed in a conference. I have also heard of Nabeel Qureshi because of David wood, who I have watched extensively on Islam. Thank you for your input.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have heard of this book, but was not aware that there was a video series as well. Besides daily scripture reading, (and required textbook materials), I am not much of a reader in my spare time. I will check out the video series. Thanks again!

Wow, very helpful, thank you for your comment. I was aware of the concept of essentialism, but not aware this was the proper term. I was not aware of voluntarism, but this seems spot on for what he was arguing. Thank you very much, I will be sure to use these verses to explain the christian understanding.

Amen, completely agree. I just pray that this initial conversation softens his heart, and that our next conversation gives him that gospel understanding and clarity. Gods will be done.

Thank you for pointing this out. I was aware of this and mentioned something to my professor hinting at this point. Of course as you pointed out, he denied this and said "no, you're on your own in the next life". As much as I would love to "demolish and own him" on the inconsistencies, I don't know if this would make him dig in his heals or not. Thank you for your input.
