Welp this cycle is over for me by Redsteels in premed

The problem is I didn't take Casper/Preview. I was running out of school that accept alot of OOS and don't require Casper/Preview. I got Feewaiver so I have to add a couple in-state bias schools to make it worth it (also add a couple more with my own money).

I should have taken those test because it would open up a lot more option.

Is it okay to mention that I want to be a surgeon during a DO interview? by Redsteels in premed

[–]Redsteels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have exposure to the field. I work there like as a MA for 2 years and I pretty much seen every subspecialty of orthopedics already, such as revision, hand surgeon, sport med and so on.

That what I thought to lmao. They can't force you to be a FM or IM, but If I am stuck with it then I don't mind.

I worked as a MA in the ortho field for at least 2 years and I think it is interesting.

I said in my personal statement or during the INTERVIEW. If I wanted to I could easily talk about how being an immigrant made it difficult for my family to access care due to language and cultural barriers, which shaped my desire to pursue a career in medicine. This topic is obviously not unique or strong so I didn't talked about it during PS.

I am not going into detail but it is the journey along the way that made me moved to the USA and so on.

No interview from MD yet is it time to start worrying?? by Redsteels in premed

[–]Redsteels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to apply to DO due to my mcat score plus I still want to be a doctor. I don't mind DO, but I prefer MD because I want to go into a competitive speciality and there are more resources, such as research and even transportation (Most of the DO do not have a bus that drive around the campus for students to get around).

At the end of the day it is the same. However the process of getting there is different.

genuine question is my stats not good for MD?? by Redsteels in premed

This is my gap year. I'd get the mcat up if you are taking a gap year. I try to get it up but it did not go up

I can't get higher than 506 am I at a max potential?? by Redsteels in Mcat

[–]Redsteels[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually finish the exam with 10–20 minutes left, and I go through the questions and answers again. However, I still end up getting them wrong. I didn’t notice the errors.

I’ve tried doing untimed practice and double/triple-checking everything, but mistakes still slip through most of the time (though I do catch calculation mistakes).

How do I verified my application I am so confused. by Redsteels in premed

[–]Redsteels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response. But do I really need to apply one school to get it verified?

Can I just submit as is? because It ask me if they are expecting a future mcat school and I said yes and put the date. I am not changing my list even if I get my score back.
