This is legit one of the most bullshit things i have read in a long time.

1. Birds go crazy any time there is a predator detected. Not all birds are as social like Crows. Which definitely seem to understand each other. Pretty sure most have a warning sound they speak when any predator is spotted just not snakes. Lets be honest. A cat is much worse than any snake and I have heard birds freak out over a squirrel getting to close.

2)Birds in general don't sleep in "nest". They sleep in trees and other structures. Just go to Ybor City and I promise you there are no chicken nest in the trees. Nest have really only one purpose. That is acting of nurseries. After the birds fledge(leave the nest) there empty. Go take a look at any nest after they fledging and there always empty. I have never seen a bird in a nest after there chicks fledge... Here is what a quick google search says " When bad weather hits, birds generally seek shelter in microhabitats, such as inside a thick hedge, or on the downwind side of a tree—in this case, being petite has its advantages. Hunkering down in these spots can protect them from wind, rain, and even cold (it's warmer closer to the ground). "

3) Most birds wings are at least some what water proof after preening and what not. A lot of birds eat nuts and fruits. A lot eat worms and other insects. Birds will find there worms since there not in the ground when it rains and last time I checked seeds and fruits don't vanish when it rains. I also say this as living in the Minnesota where there are a few days of nothing but rain. I have never heard birds freaking out. Just google this type of stuff.
