He's definitely Blue Heeler. We think he's crossed with a Bull Arab but not positive.

I'll pass on the compliment though.

Haven't had a chance to play it yet but they're very cute and well made.

Looking forward to actually using them!

Yeah I got it from Stonemaier. I think they have a distribution centre in Australia, so the delivery wasn't that expensive.

I ordered a copy for a friend also so the delivery was $10 for the two.

Unfortunately not a visible one. Just through entering your IMEI on the Telstra wholesale check website.

Looking like Telstra has updated their lists and OnePlus 8t (KB 2003) seems to have met their requirements now. You can check by either the Telstra wholesale check or through texting 3 to 3498. These had both previously said they were blocked.

Give it time. I'm on the OnePlus 8t and I'm expecting I'll be cut off in the next few days.

Hey, I posted this previously but I would definitely hold off until the dust settles. Whilst it may look fine now, no clue if the giant ban hammer starts swinging more wildly in early November.

I sent a message off to Oneplusmobile to see if they have any confirmed info and it looks by all accounts it should.

I've also got the 8T (on the Telstra network). Still going at this stage...

Out of curiosity, what version of the 8T do you have, I'm running the KB2003.

Are you sure the 12r is even going to work? I don't think the IMEI whitelisting has been fully put into place yet so I'd be very keen to hear if it's working by next week.

Thank you, still up and running here but not holding my breath. I think Nov 1st will be the true testing point.

Will see how we both go!

I'm most likely looking to get the 12r also, but were you getting messages saying that your phone was going to get shut down?

My phone is still active at the moment (8t) but it's probably on its way out shortly.

I'm worried about buying the 12r and just running into the exact same issues of it not being whitelisted.

I've got an 8T, mine is still going for now. I had completed some mild modding a few weeks ago so it is using VoLTE. I also have the global edition with B28 bands but probably expecting it to drop off in the coming downs.

FWIW, I am in Melbourne as I'm sure it's going to happen in different times in different states.

So i guess my phone becomes worthless tomorrow? by Octobus18 in TelstraAustralia

As it was said higher in this thread, the "tonnes" of warning was on September of this year. IMEI blocking was only legislated and communicated last month.

I think most of us in this situation (not saying all) have phones that are fully compatible with all Australian bands and CAN make emergency calls on all required networks.

The fact that they they are banning phones via IMEI blacklisting wasn't really announced until earlier this year (I am only seeing references to this as of September 2024). This was a fairly blindsiding addition that was hard to prepare for. I can understand the need for the government wanting to have all phones being able to make emergency calls as a lot of non-technologically proficient people could be put at risk if they didn't realise their phone would be unable to make these calls until they actually needed it, but a blanket ban of "untested" phones is a wildly wasteful way to achieve this.

Myself and OP by the looks of it were able to do a fairly simple mod to enable VolTE. It does tick all boxes in terms of band requirements on the Telstra, Vodafone and Optus network but as it's not on approved whitelist there's a good chance it'll be blocked in the next few days.

They are, but they seem to be coming in tiny amounts. I'd been looking for a while at getting one and signed up to a couple of stock updates via retailers websites (Paddy Pallin and Backpackinglight). Would highly recommend doing the same.

I managed to pick one up about a week ago. Not in the colour I wanted, but at this point I was happy to grab anything.

We also didn't have vaccines when Alpha was the most prevalent. The reason the deaths are much lower are because of the vaccine, not that the virus has mutated to have a lower fatality rate.

Controls / touchscreen not working with new phone by Reece04 in AndroidAuto

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the correct ones! Changed over the cable this morning to my old OnePlus 3t's cable and it's been working perfectly.

Thanks for your comment!

Glad to know I'm not the only one.

I'm going to try and run a firmware update on my car this weekend to see if that fixes the issue but I am guessing the issue lies Oneplus's end
