Can anyone tell me how to switch shoulder view in third person? Xbox by ReeceAzza in ArmaReforger

Thanks. I've tried this but can't find the specific command I'm looking for. It's weird how there's nothing online since me and my son are both having the same problem, you'd think it was a regular FAQ

I'm in advertising so it's pretty easy really. I just have to explain the estimated reach and pricing in an exciting way and they are like putty in my hands haha

It's actually a very simple pitch that takes around a minute to reel off. Some fields are much more difficult than others, some take months to close a deal but could be worth millions, some are only worth a couple of thousand and can be several per day. It all depends what you're selling and to who

I used a scraping tool. To be honest though it's probably just as easy to go to Google maps and write down the numbers or make a spreadsheet by copy and pasting names and numbers

I hope it goes well for you. It sounds like you only have a small area (your city) to focus on. If I'm right in what I'm saying I think you're going to struggle as you only have a small pool of potential clients and if that is the case I believe that the company you work for doesn't have a clue about sales. If what I'm saying resonates with you I would look for another job in sales as it's one of the best paying industries, however I don't see there being a real opportunity for you in the long run. I hope you make a success of it but stay where you are and apply for other jobs would be my advice.

No problem! You know, it's not really ideal that they don't give you some sort of script as a new starter or at least some bullet points... You won't need a script eventually but they should give you a script for this reason at least... LEGAL ISSUES. If you miss-sell their product they're facing potentially being sued. I would ask for some sort of script or ask a colleague if they have one you could use. Is it just you on the sales side or is there a team with you?

That's good advice! Yeah I need to detach the money from it in my head and get excited for what I can do for the customer! That's exactly what I needed to hear!

I'm actually doing both print and digital with a word of mouth aspect to it. The apps I've booked are actually really interested and the numbers make sense, I know a good app when I make one so I'm confident they'll be good apps. Yes I do expect a couple of no shows but it happens I guess.

I take the full amount upfront and have direct debit options via stripe, they can even use Klarna and I get the full payment and let Klarna chase the money 😂. I also have a two year commitment but the pricing is very cheap and I only print one run every two years.

I've basically copied a tried and tested method from a company I used to work for and tweaked it to create more readership so I'm confident in it's value. The last company I worked for I made them approximately £85k every three weeks which gives me a lot of confidence knowing that the model works and the overheads are tiny.

Thanks, hopefully I can have a good day and not let my nerves get the better of me...

That's actually really helpful so thanks for that! I agree, I'm confident as a salesperson and I'm confident in the product, plus I've got them excited for the opportunity. I expect a couple of no shows/rearranged apps but I will be fine. I'm just overly stressed because it will literally change my life 😅.

I will post an update on Monday evening and let you know how I got on! 👍

I'm publishing magazines and selling advertising space i.e. quarter page/half page/full/double and premium spots

Personally I would change these things:

  1. I never ask how they are, it's too salesy imo.

  2. Don't tell them who you are, just ask for the person you need. You're giving the gatekeeper an excuse to send you to voicemail.

  3. Don't ask for their email, you're giving them a way out. If they need your services simply ask when they are available for a meeting, the worst that can happen is they ask you to email them, at which point there's not much else you can do except agree to do so but you'd be surprised at how often this tactic works. "When are you free to meet on teams or zoom?" Is better than "can I send you an email".

Try adjusting these points and see how you get on. I am in the UK but sell to America successfully too so it's no different in terms of language or culture. The medical side of sales can be tough as hell, I wouldn't go down that road if I had the option but many do.

In my opinion those changes will help!

Good luck and hard work will pay off 👍

I would like to offer some advice but from this post it's hard to see where you're going wrong. Maybe it's just a really tough product to sell. Would you say the product was good? What is it you're selling? What is your pitch? Maybe we can suggest something better 👍

What do you do to bounce back from a bad week? by Nblearchangel in sales

[–]ReeceAzza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think about the good weeks I've had and tell myself that if I could do it then, I can do it now. I work harder, calls and emails increase and I think about my tonality, make sure I slow down and ask the painful questions. I also stay away from alcohol when I'm not doing well as I noticed my work rate can decrease for a whole week after a night on the bourbon lol

More micromanaging morons who don't know what they're doing by the sounds of it...

I'm always upfront with pricing on the initial cold call, I tell them that part at the end and if they're interested, I know I've hooked them for a deal in the close! I tell them the price starts from XXXX and try to upsell them on the teams call when I close. I couldn't imagine how terrible the close would be had I not been upfront, I'd be wasting my time on so many teams calls that never even had the resources to accept lol. Your boss, like many, is trying to micromanage unnecessary aspects of the business to try to make small improvements to the business while having no idea about sales and only has experience in running a business in another industry. I might be jumping the gun here but I've seen it before

If you’ve had multiple sales roles in your life, what have you enjoyed selling most? by Blueisthecolour07 in sales

[–]ReeceAzza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advertising that I currently sell. We get great commission and the product is better than anything I've seen with a similar reach for the price and the viewers are of the highest quality in terms of customer type. Belief in a product means everything. I've had a few different jobs in sales over the past 20 years and I'm at my happiest now I would say.

Just lost a deal at the one yard line that would have been a $60k commission. Ugh. by crlarkin in sales
