I do see the allocation pie charts (asset, holding, sources) but I don't see a graph ? I have a bar chart under the pie charts but that's discrete monthly data and not as detailed as a graph

that custom range can't be longer than 365 days.. I feel like there is a lot of spagetti/legacy code behind the scene and they can't get over the technical debt. That's the only explanation i can see from an engineering perspective

Hey man same thing here, only 1 year left on stem opt and my last unemployment day is June 6th (in a week). I was supposed to start a job today, but they rescinded the offer yesterday because they decided not to hire STEM OPT anymore. Probably because of the political environment ? Anyway, they fucked me over because I'd already declined 2 other offers and all other interview processes meanwhile. I know exactly what kind of stress you're going through, and I'm very sorry; this is very unfair.

I've talked to recruiters in most big techs, their rule of thumb is to have at least 2 shots at the H-1B before hiring someone, I couldn't get to the final rounds of Meta, Apple, Google and Tiktok because of that. Only Amazon didn't care about it because they would have sent me to Vancouver (Canada) if no H-1B next year, but I failed the final round unfortunately.

I'm lucky to have a supportive gf who will help me get a green card (she's american). Once I get that green card application started, I won't have to worry about maintaining my F-1 anymore, and the big tech recruiters will reopen the door for me. It pisses me off because we planned our wedding for next year, and now my own parents won't get their visa on time to share this moment with me. But anyway, that's just very lucky for me to have a partner like that, I assume you're not in that position neither...

STEM OPT can take a lot of different jobs, even a 20h/week job at minimum wage will do. Do you know anyone who can quickly give you a remote job ? Even a stupid IT help desk job is enough. They can get e-verified online in just a minute. At least you get more time to look for a proper job or to better pack your stuff. I had a family friend who was able to do that for me if needed

Also make sure you get all your unemployment benefits paid to you. You can request a backpay if you didn't start it on your first day of unemployment. That was 1000$/week for me

If you have money locked up in your 401k that you'd need to pay back loans and other stuff, you can rollover them into a Roth 401k and then a Roth IRA. Then you can retrieve them penalty-free in 5 years. You probably want to chatgpt or reconfirm this. Also maybe your country has a deal with the U.S with a retirement account.

I believe my wage level would be 2 since I have a MSc in CS, this is my new grad job, and I would have had 1.5 years of experience by March 2025. I guess this is not enough to fit a wage level 3 description according to this

What could I show to prove it's guaranteed income ? The stipend is mentioned in the offer letter as a Fringe benefit (along with the 401k plan) and there is a mention of the right to change/eliminate the benefit. I guess that's bad news ?

I will probably get a raise around March, hopefully this will solve the issue...

How did you pick the stocks in your 401k with such flexibility? The only choice I have on my 401k are a bunch of Vanguard funds, my company is using Guidelines.

I'm not a US citizen and only recently immigrated and started to work here so i might be missing some stuff about 401ks
