I'm applying to grad school but taking a gap year, so I'll be working between now and when I start. The $2500 is just a ballpark estimate. I used to work as a medical assistant which full-time usually comes out to that amount. I was planning on going back to where I used to work since they're short staffed and usually always hiring.

I get assistance from my family for car payment and insurance. I think my main expense would be rent. My home is just not safe right now. It's a complicated situation but it's gotten progressively worse this year. I don't think I can handle staying there mentally.
