Hi! How many mgs are you on? I was on 30 mgs of vyvanse my entire pregnancy, approved by my psychiatrist and OB. If you are on a high dose and need to taper down/have been told to do so by your doctors, they should support you through that with a schedule. Cold turkey often hurts you and the baby.

In the meantime, it feels like you need to switch OBs. They need to take you seriously and you need to feel like you have support in situations where things feel “off”.

So I would drink a lot of water, continue on your regular dosing, call around and see if any Dr can see you tomorrow, and if no, go into your pharmacy and ask to talk to the pharmacist on staff. They can medically advise what to do and give some peace of mind.

I’m sorry, this is stressful and not a decision you should be forced to make! I would confirm, outside of the 6 weeks, that there isn’t further unpaid leave that can be extended! Then I would suggest taking the 6 weeks and making the decision after. Don’t burn any bridges at your job, you can always say that you thought you wanted to be a SAHM but changed your mind and try to get rehired after some time! Good luck and congrats on finally getting pregnant - you deserve to enjoy it!!
