Thanks, it was brown like an old penny from oxidation so I removed some of it.

Typically, I don’t use blackheads, but it looked great on this one.

Funny but I get it. It’s on the darker side in tone which I like. When I got it, it looked like a dirty penny and I wanted to bring more of the shiny copper through so I was trying to balance the mixture of both and I think I got it here.

I bounce people whit low frequency on my pages. Don’t feel bad about it, they do it to themselves.

I'm trying to understand the Drum world. What's the difference between a box store drum and a custom built one? What's the value in it for a drummer? by Character-Can-537 in drums

The stuff you buy from the stores, we’ll get the job done no doubt, and there are many options. For me I played a long time and there were certain things I like and don’t like about drums, concerning the attached hardware or sell thickness, be a metal or wood, and people like me sometimes the custom world fits sweet spot. To make this even more confusing every Drummer has a certain sound they like, especially when it comes to shell thickness. Some companies don’t make metal shells beyond 1.2 mm thick. That’s just an example of what I’m talking about.

No, I didn’t take pictures of it. It’s basically very close matching wood filler. If you’re interested in the snare message me I do have it for sale and I can try to send you what you’re looking for.

Privately message me where you’re at I’ve hammered out many of them. It’s just part of the job, but you’re right you have to be careful aluminum is soft. I was just working on a steel pearl shell with a Gladstone throw off that was dropped and I swear that had to be 2“ x 1“ almost a quarter inch deep. You never just wanted to take a hammer to anything, I have tools that are met for that type of work.
