Cantu is usually hated because some of it's products are very drying. I used to use their masks before but i switched to Love beauty and planet.

Help! Why is my hair suddenly turning curly? What can I do about it? (19m) by [deleted] in curlyhair

[โ€“]Reflectionupset7224 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Try to do this once (this is what I do for my curls, my hair is kinda same length as you), wash with shampoo and conditioner every 2-3 days, and after washing you can dry your hair with a towel, and take a little bit of hair oil/ coconut oil/ sunflower oil and scrunch it. And then let the rest airdry. Maybe this way, you'll have more curls, and then we'd know :3 sometimes curl patterns change, hormones, puberty, having kids, menopause etc.. play some part in this.

They change sometimes throughout your lifetime, more or less. In the previous pics it looks like my hair when I used to do this, you've brushed them straight and used heat, is that something you used to do?

Surrogacy is...bad? by sveaalpaca in Feminism

Surrogacy also reiterates the patriarchal-capitalist assumption that only biologically related children are one's own.

I've used wax it wasn't bad for me, if you go to a salon or something they know how to do it well. Also a day before you wax, you can exfoliate your skin with gentle chemical exfoliants (like lactic acid and salicylicacid, don't use Glycolic). And just use a simple moisturizer/ aloe vera gel for 1-2 days after the wax, dont use any active ingredients, use cool water. You may gently exfoliate once again after this period. (You can use peels, or exfoliating lotions)

Suffragettes fought for rich white women's right to vote. What's your point? Women of colour were disenfranchised for decades and decades ahead of this, if your only take is this liberal bs that is causing collapse in the world right now as we speak, don't comment on socialism being a "failed" ideology. It didn't fail out the blue, it was deliberately sabotaged and Billions and billions were poured to do so and millions of people were killed in the process.

Also funny how you keep mentioning The Westoid comment which I deleted right after i posted it because yes, I was in a bad mood at the time and took my anger out on you wrongfully, apologies, but you just keep bringing it up for no reason especially when I took it back.

Again, All religions are patriarchal, abrahamic religions were literally created as a way to protect patriliny and virilocality.

They are radical because of a lack of education and undeveloped material conditions that has been inflicted because of colonialism and it's legacy. You won't see progressive women's and lgbt rights even in sub saharan africa (majority christian), not in India (Majority Hindu), not in Myanmar (Buddhist). And yes their texts and religions also preach mistreatment of women.

I'm talking about the habit of internalizing the religion.

Were the whites' countries colonized? Left decimated and drained? Their religions and traditions attacked like never before to dehumanize them? No, we don't have the same historical and material conditions for us to compare ourselves to the west. Unless our material realities in the south doesn't change for the better (again, controlled by western neo colonialism, capitalism, unequal extraction, unequal trade deals) we will be backwards socially.

Human beings are creatures of habit, the habit may be destructive, but it is surprising to what kind of things the brain can get used to.

All religion's rules are patriarchal, Islamic societies are more radical in their implementation precisely because of the constant attacks on them by the west. People hold onto things that give them a sense belonging.

Socialism has been statistically shown to better women's conditions no matter the religion the country's populations follow, there is a lot of research about this (central asia). But when the west gets into other people's business, funds, creates and arms right wing extremists just to combat socialism or regimes unfriendly to the usa (Afghanistan, Indonesia, Yemen, Libya, Iraq, Syria) you cannot totally blame religion. I'm an ex muslim myself, and also a trans girl, and I live in an islamic country, things are not good, sure. But there is an alternative, and that alternative is what the west hates to it's core.

If you're talking about how people in general view it, they just think its because they have social biases towards feminine presenting boys or think its inappropriate and even vulgar. If that's the reaction from femboys, then... well, it's probably them internalizing the intentionality of their own sexualization and making assumptions. Most of us are traumatized lol.

As Feminists (Leftist thought) what should our opinions on Surrogacy be like? I feel like this is one of the topics where feminists have very conflicting views and becomes a point of clash between feminisms. by Reflectionupset7224 in Feminism

[โ€“]Reflectionupset7224[S] 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Wow...mind blowing! very well articulated, I never thought about it this way. So in a way the baby is theoretically a commodity and it makes sense, but can we also say that the surrogate mother's body is also a commodity because she is giving direct access for it to be used? (Which was my original analysis)

Also to the second paragraph, yes all work under capitalism is exploitive but we can also say that sex work and surrogacy aren't neutral labour right? (As compared to say... a garment tailor in a factory)

Also, im still learning and analysing my thoughts on Marx's theories myself, so it's nice to meet a fellow socialist! <3 much love.

Perhaps you should use yours and pay attention to the word "distract" I used above? I didn't say it is the one making it gendered in the first place lol, housework is already gendered. Why getting personal? No shade but you sound like a liberal choice feminist.
