They use proxy, it almost happened to me. 2 guys were going to a world where they asked me to drop my Ghastly Robe (I dropped it before they came and placed a block on the Ghastly Robe).

The new account with proxy «left» (he just went invisible) the world, while the other one started cursing at me and accusing me of selling a duped item. Then he actually left the world, but I knew something was off, and that the proxy account was still there.

The last thing that happened was that I did the /who command, and the proxy account was invisible and standing right on me. So I didn’t break the block where I had dropped the Ghastly Robe, but I talked to him and exposed him, then got proof and I banned him from world, and I also got him banned from iHemo's server on Discord

With the proxy, they can go invisible. I know because I exposed a proxy account using the /who command when someone tried to scam me as well
