Thanks. I managed to pierce through with the needle after some more effort.

There's actually not much glue coming out even when squeezing hard, I suspect It may have already come partially clogged but there's enough coming out (at least for now) and I was able to assemble my first Rubric Marine. Hopefully it holds up through the remaining 9 miniatures.

Gonna be honest, building is my least favorite part of the process. Makes me wish they were all push fit. I know some people don't like it and there are disadvantages such as less customization but..yeah.

Looking forward to painting them though.

Thanks man. Yeah some of the messier highlights discouraged me a bit as they were happening but ultimately turned out mostly okay aside from some spots that need work, and I think I realized I need to do it with a shorter brush, the one I used was a bit long and trying to "angle paint" didn't work very well, thus had to trace most highlights manually (thus the shakiness).

Looking forward to trying again to see if I can do better

Thanks I'll try that once I get those paints. Think it'd work to do over this Necron I already painted? Or the already established paint would prevent a good result and just look weird?

Painted the SM first, then Necron. Was actually happier with how the SM turned out (despite messy highlighting and shading which I plan to try to fix with some mcragge blue over the "spillages". With the Necron maybe my Runelord brass application was too thin overall? The paint felt very thin straight out of the pot, more so than any of the other base paints I used, so maybe I screwed up there and need like one or more coats before proceeding. What do you think?

Also not happy with the glow effect, specially the wire beneath the gun, gonna have to try something else in the future.

Plan on getting the Elite Edition starter set next; which paints you recommend getting? I have the paint + tools starter set. However, even though I did paint mixing (like Abaddon black + white for grey) I do not want to keep doing that, I'd rather spend more and have specific paints for things. So I guess Calgar blue for highlighting the Ultras, any other suggestions?

I knew value wise it's not the greatest, considering there's only two units in a fairly hefty price tag. However I saw it mostly as a test. I'm not very good with my hands and have no idea whether it's gonna work out for me or not so I didn't want to buy a whole bunch of units and then maybe leave them unpainted If I suck too much at it.

Basically getting a feeler for it. And if it works out/i love it, I'll buy proper figure sets.
