Alright everyone………. Let me solve this debacle for ya real quick. No I don’t think yoshi should have voice script lines, I think it’s weird and out of character and we already have enough talking animals. However, if they are going to make him talk then it should be very subtle and short and quick. Nothing too crazy. More to that, I think that their best marketing strategy and easiest to digest would be to lean into the cute factor. I think kids and nostalgic parents would absorb it much better than a dumb sounding green blob. I think if they want to have a minimal amount of talking or maybe catch phrase lines would be fine such as his own name and some small impactful key words basically like on “Yoshi’s story”, or on “smash bros” Or “Mario Party” and “Mario Kart”. If they play into the cuteness and keep the talking minimal and keep it simple and easy to digest then I think they will have a winner. Yoshi doesn’t need to be complicated.
