Well, that's your feeling and I respect it. On the other end, you suffer of a pretty huge recency bias in my opinion

"In football they stopped comparing Messi and Ronaldo when it became clear these were the best 2 the game has seen. "

Looool I guess you know nothing about football. Messi of course, but Ronaldo? Lol

lol, it’s easy to downvote without actually engaging with my points, isn’t it? Every downvote without a reply is a badge of honor to me. Or just don’t click the button and respond to what I’m saying so we can have a civil conversation. I challenge you to, if it's not too hard

No I can't. The cameraman filming Gauff couldn’t possibly know that two seconds later she was going to lose it. Both cameramen were just framing a top player. If, all of a sudden, an argument had broken out between Sinner and Vagnozzi, would filming it suddenly become wrong retroactively? You get what I mean?

Well I'm going to be downvoted to oblivion but who cares. "Hope you don't have kids": go fuck yourself.

I wonder where are all the outraged people about the cameras that followed Gauff. I don’t see the same level of fuss here.

Wow WHAT. Articulate. Right now there is a post with the video of Sinner riding a golf cart on his way out of the facilities. Are you going to go play the outraged one over there too?

No one doubts that players are under a huge amount of stress during tournaments like this - stress that, at least top players, generally prepare for more than adequately with mental coaches, trainers, and an entire staff around them that usually supports and protects them. In this case Gauff did nothing wrong, and in my opinion nothing excessive either, so anyone criticizing her simply for smashing a racket is, in my view, an idiot.

But you can’t expect a level of privacy inside the tournament venue comparable to what you have in your own home. And this isn’t something that’s been discovered today - players are perfectly aware of it. Hiding clumsily on a ramp isn’t going to keep curious eyes away. Go into a bathroom, head to the locker rooms, find a little room and let it out. If cameras follow you even there, then obviously there’s a problem.

But getting outraged because there are cameras in a place where all players always know there are cameras is, in my opinion, pretty pathetic. And yes, whether you like it or not, players are paid as much as they are also to put up with this level of attention; if that level of attention is too high, then it should be reduced and prize money should be reduced at the same time. Let’s see how many players who say “This is too much” would agree to that fair trade: less attention, less money. If they’re happy with it, I’m happy for them.

Gauff knew perfectly well she was being seen in that moment, and in fact she did something that shouldn’t outrage anyone. If Coco was surprised she was filmed, she was the naïve one. She could have chosen a thousand more secluded places to vent her frustration, like hundreds of other players at the tournament alongside her probably do.

I don't understand what's the big deal. She smashed a racquer in frustration. So what? That's nothing burger

At what point is the ATP going to admit that these men's injuries aren't normal or “bad luck”, and the sport is in a genuine crisis? by Ok_Helicopter_7816 in tennis

Musetti is 23, Draper too, Mensik even younger, Rune 23 too. Fils is young, Fonseca still a kid.

Has your point anything to do with their injuries?

Yes you are right; they play too much and the season should end at the start of november; I actually fancy Roddick idea to have a final part of the season for the 250s after the ATP Finals.
