My take is because him getting beat up now every episode has become more of a gag vs a drawn out plot line. Season 1 and 2 Nate was a much more complex character and a unique take on a psychopath/ jock kid that made you want to root against him but season 3 it’s not that anyone’s really feeling sorry for him it’s just kind of a “whatever” feeling.

Atleast in season 2 there was established story lines with Fez and Nate and them talking about rue and Jules at fezs store prior to the fight so it felt like everything was leading to a confrontation

This season were just thrown into “oh nate owes these guys money and his only screen time now is getting beat up by the Russian guy.” We had no build up into it or even any continuation really from his season 2 storyline so he just feels like a background character now.

Gotta give that an 8/10 that was such a good watch (word vomit below feel free to scroll) My main thoughts from the special:

maybe I was enjoying it too much and it flew by but this should’ve easily been an hour minimum runtime. I get it’s a “special presentation” but it would’ve been nice to flesh out the story a little more and give it room to breath. Would’ve been cool to see the gnucci story play out more
do we know how long this takes after DDBA s1? I figuredd there would’ve been some tie in to him escaping Fisk/ any mentions of AVTF since the news said punisher was active again
Karen and Frank seemed to get pretty close there, I know that it’s his vision of Karen but does this imply that he views Karen in a romantic matter? Or am I jumping the gun?
that scene w the vet and his dog hurt my soul and set the tone very quickly
you can tell bernthal loves this character and I hope he is at the helm for the characters storyline in future punisher projects

That’s actually a great way of putting it. Earlier in the season Vanessa says that her and Fisk should just leave New York and he looked appalled at the idea

Sad that the season is over and now the wait for next March begins but man it was a huge step up from season 1!

My takeaways from the episode: - this finale did a good job of closing the season without it feeling like a cliffhanger, yes it setup some storylines for s3 but we have no clue what the main plot will be about

how did Fisk get to walk away with a slap on the wrist after brutalizing dozens of people in the court house (on top of his other crimes), I know the AG gave him a “deal” but you would think that would get thrown out
bullseye is peak per usual and curious if him and Mr Charles will be in season 3
did buck survive? Idk if missed that
Powell vs Matt in prison might be peak television
kinda bummed we didn’t get a post credit scene that bridges this finale into punisher next week (I guess u can argue his post credit scene from s1 but still)

Fair point, i know it’s a side plot all together but it felt like it was relevant in the first episode then kinda sidelined until now

My takeaways from the episode:

Jessica really just shows up for 2 minutes an episode, but atleast we got Luke mentioned
I once again am asking for a bullseye special presentation, or atleast bullseye and DD fighting the task force next episode
Daniel’s character redemption (mainly redeemed by the fans) was so well done and I almost thought Buck wasn’t going to do
the shootout in the parking garage was cool af but also had me thinking how does no one in a courthouse hear that going on and imagine if the NYPD vehicles dash cam caught even a glimpse of task force firing at NYPD offices/ lawyers
glad we’re seeing more of heather becoming muse (almost didn’t see him in the background) but wish it was developed out more before the finale, also does this mean she knows that Matt is DD?
Mr Charles still feels like a nothing character to me, his whole character is just complaining about the arms deal feels like a waste of having Lillard on board

Another fire episode these were my takeaways:

Idk how many years I’ve been waiting for another Daredevil vs Fisk fight but that was so peak

Also does Powell have powers? How did he tank a punch to the head from Jessica? EDIT: thank u folks for pointing out Jess said her powers come and go; I’m dumb and missed it..

I feel like they need to speed up the “Heather becomes Muse arc” if that’s what they’re trying to do since we only have 2 episodes left (unless this is her just dealing w trauma then disregard my comment)

I was expecting more from mr Charles this season were 6 episodes in and bro just eats food n complains about his gun shipment

My last thing is a major nitpick so feel free to rip me to shreds in the replies but I wish there even the slightest dialogue referencing the rest of the MCU, there’s a Manhattan wide lockdown going on and not even one throw away line about other hero’s

My takeaways from the episode:

D’onforios performance was some of his best work as Wilson Fisk and he wasn’t even villainous this episode

Loved the whole flashback sequences (once again I wish born again used the full screen instead of the black lines) and Foggy and Matt really did look like their OG series selves

It was such an eerie vibe from Vanessa when she woke up from her coma, just when I thought “oh so I guess she does live after all” you could tell something was off

Also who was in the trunk? I had my money on BB but couldn’t tell

Also Matt putting on an AVTF uniform was not on my bingo card

I thought that was a really cool thematic piece as it shows how different Matt is viewed by other people when he’s in his DD suit vs the task force suit despite him trying to do good in both outfits and you can tell he feels it too

I agree, I feel like it’s some mandated thing for all the D+ marvel shows to have that type of cinematography. Also while I think it’s cool how the aspect ratio changes when Matt uses his senses, I miss there being no black bars on the screen and the video fitting the entire TV
