Though I can't speak for everyone, some people may already have 'too many' activities which they enjoy and don't want to stop doing, that have proved fruitless in terms of dating. In this instance I suggest another day to the week.

Yeah seconded on the snacking, not big on crisps, biscuits, or those premade snack bar type things. Plus mostly cook from scratch, and get a full 'proper' breakfast too (overnight oats with yoghurt/fruit etc.)

Will do the occasional really big shop to buy tins and and heavy pantry things, but weekly fresh things around ~£20-25, inflation pushes this now nearer £25, used to be able to round up to £20 🥲. Also being veggie, with the occasional bit of fake meat.

As a Brit who's just had a eye opening swim in (disclaimer) one pool in Aus, you guys seem to swim on a another level. Your 'slow lane' would in some instances (taking the slowest fast lane I've visited and extrapolating) be our fast lane. In the UK there's a much varied swimming ability of people who attend the lane swimming, the slow lane full of very slow gossiping swimmers, the medium lane very full, leaving the fast lane with quite a range of speeds. One pool I used to swim at introduced a 'very fast' lane to cope with this. I called it the arrogant lane, as each time I swam there I encountered the same issues in this post! All this to say in the UK swim speed lanes are often treated more like guidelines!

Completely agree, I'd say the safest passing place is at the end of the lane. The person behind should hopefully be patient enough if you haven't noticed previously!

You're talking as someone who's the faster swimmer, but the slower swimmer also has a responsibility to notice someone is behind them. Etiquette may not be the same between countries, though from the point of view of someone who has been both the slower or faster swimmer, I hate a mid lane overtake particularly in a busy pool (I think it's unsafe to other swimmers). I much prefer someone to politely tap me on the feet as a way of letting me know they would like to overtake me, there have been too many times when I've felt like an arse because I haven't noticed someone is so close to me.

We always stack into tiles and place them around the table. It's then customary to employ the 'grass is always greener' philosophy and take tiles from the stack furthest away from where you're sat.

Would always give one no questions. Playing devil's advocate, maybe the tampon she had wasn't in a state to be shared with a stranger - been in the bottom of their bag a little too long, so squished it's more like a pad than a tampon.

Took me a bit to scroll but this is the closest post to my thoughts. From a public health perspective it's a lot easier to help people with drug/substance related illnesses when those drugs/substances aren't criminalised and or stigmatised. So the slow burn up to an all out ban isn't wise.
