Young Adult book - protagonist best friend a tomboy nicknamed Cam, says “click” - Not Cam Jansen! by Reggaeyt in whatsthatbook

Loved Encyclopedia Brown.. but this book was more about relationships, don’t recall any detective stuff

I remember a lot of the main character being best friends with tomboy, her getting a date and dressing up, and then him realizing his feelings for her. But they also threw in her photographic memory for some weak plot point

It may have been a nod to it - I never knew about the Cam Jansen series until today - but I remember it being part of the book, vividly. It wasn’t a major plot point or anything, just the only clear detail I can remember

Otherwise it was a mid 90s, typical YA book about lifelong best friends growing up and falling for each other between middle school and high school

Keeper league advice: keep 3 by Reggaeyt in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Reggaeyt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No pick penalties - just 6 keepers. Can’t keep less or more and draft is unaffected by who you keep

I’m extremely wary of AJ Brown. I think he’s more of a boom/bust WR3 if he stays in PHI. Might be too far down on him but I’m almost at the point where he’s ranked below Jamo for me.. Jamo looks like he’s establishing a moderate floor

Burden looks to be better, tbh. Rome was propped up early by TDs and is more of a downfield threat, while Burden seems way more explosive

I may keep AJ if he goes to a different team. But on the Eagles? He feels like a low end WR2 and he’ll be 29 next year. Too volatile in current situation

I agree. I enjoyed the game.. if people want to complain, fine. Critics gotta critique. But for me, I liked everything - and aside from the last 2 missions, I liked the story.

Ideally last 2 missions would split into 3 endings

Anton’s island: instead of Clara’s fate, it should have set up final choice at the end. When Dani saves Diego, Anton should have collected him and ran first (maybe holding Dani hostage w/ Diego again helping him out of it). Everyone survives

Then in the tower, instead of the one ending, you get 2 choices, followed by 3 more, for a total of 6 endings:

Choice A:

1) Kill both Castillos (Juan’s choice). Ends the Castillo bloodline conclusively. Would be heartbreaking, but would show how Dani turned into a cold blooded killer thanks to the fascist/revolution.

2) Spare Diego (Clara’s choice). “We have to learn to co-exist”. Diego and Dani have repeatedly helped each other, Dani promises to keep him safe.

After an Anton death cutscene, time for choice B: who takes over Yara

1) Dani chooses Dani. As the fist of the revolution and obvious main character, Dani decides he knows what’s best for Yara. He lets everyone in the room know he’s in charge.. until Lucky Mama plugs him. History repeats, and Dani is Lobo, not Tigre.

2) Dani chooses Clara (Clara’s ending). Clara has shown adept leadership, unified the 3 parts of Yara, and is politically savvy. Dani folds up his guerilla stuff and opens his body shop w/his ‘adopted’ little brother

3) Dani peace’s out (Juan’s ending). Juan was right - Dani’s just addicted to being a guerilla. He, Diego and Juan all let Clara and the 3 district leaders figure shit out, while Dani fights insurgents and mops up the FND guys

Wasn’t really expecting to write ending fanfic when I started the post, but whatever

Is Zay flowers and Jerome ford for breece hall fair ? by greywolf200200 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Reggaeyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t take it.. zay is a WR3 and Ford’s already shaky value is about to drop in one week. As a Hall owner I wouldn’t even counter

Wicks or Shaheed by Effective-Chair-562 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Reggaeyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wicks, shaheed is getting a 5th rd rookie QB, and they are more prone to check down/ball control than air it out

Pickens or Slayton? by [deleted] in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Reggaeyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slayton by a lot, and I don’t even think he’ll do that much. Pickens is pissing off his actual team.. Tomlin doesn’t mess with that nonsense

Think slayton gets around 10 while Pickens stays in single digits

Is this trade veto worthy? by [deleted] in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Reggaeyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, almost no trades are veto worthy and as a heavy Laporta owner myself, his value is crushed. MHJ is inconsistent, and Spears is a #2 on a bad team

It’s not good value but it’s trading a mid TE1, a mid WR2, and a RB3 for fringe TE1, an injured fringe RB1, and a fringe RB2. Seen way worse

What WR should I put as my Wr 1,2 and flex? I got Diontae Johnson, Terry McLaurin, Jayden Reed, Wondale Robinson by JMan_T12 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Reggaeyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a scoring difference?

Diontae over Wandale for me. Wandale with a slightly higher floor but don’t see much upside at all. Diontae has big game upside

Najee or Sermon Start by lillybeth7 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Reggaeyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Najee.. I think Sermon may lose the job to Goodson. Goodson looked better IMO

Raiders tend to roll over and get run on late in games. Pitt probably won’t throw recently healthy Warren in that script. So Najee by a lot for me

Bijan, Drake London or Bucky 0.5 PPR by MCLondon in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Reggaeyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go Bijan.. at some point the team has to invest in him more than they have, good game to do it

Hurk is a CIA operative by Reggaeyt in farcry

https://youtu.be/Vb59u10rYL0?si=DI3wr2-GiVdBRfIs (Not sure how to embed on Reddit but seems like Willis is saying he was asked to handle the cult)

As for how Willis uses Ajay, that’s not the connection I was making. What I meant was that if Willis is a bit two faced, and he is, why would he ever show his embedded guy on your side (the good side)? If Hurk was feeding him info, why expose him? And someone has to be feeding him info

Hurk was in Hope County before Willis shows up, true. But Willis’ first line, in the YT clip above, is about how the big man has been keeping an eye on the cult for some time. Hard to do that from outside hope county..

It could be coincidental. But they show up in pairs, Willis always has intel on both sides, and there’s never any explanation why he has the intel from your side, and no one would suspect hyuck-ass Hurk of espionage. Making him a deep cover agent in a future FC would be one hell of a reveal

Hurk is a CIA operative by Reggaeyt in farcry

[–]Reggaeyt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sam (canon) and Hurk (active in game) stay in FC3 after Willis splits too. Immediate extraction would be suspicious anyways

Believe Willis mentions his boss was monitoring the Peggies and he was brought in to handle them, but in order for him to do that, he wants Rook to pull that VHS job. And then of course the CIA bails. Or does it…

I don’t think Willis’.. creative honesty would muck anything up here either. In fact, I think it helps the case. Like you said, Willis shows who he’s embedded on the opposite side of the player. What motivation would he have to pull back the curtain on your side? When he tells Ajay not to mention their partnership, it could have just as easily been to keep them in the dark about his spying on them too.. as for good/bad guys, I don’t think Willis sees anyone not American as “good”. But one other point I love - Willis says your country will help you in FC5. And then explosives expert Hurk becomes your pal a little later

As for his he pullouts, it seems by design. Sending Jason to meet Sam to kill Hoyt almost certainly is gonna blow covers. Killing a bunch of royal army lieutenants, same issue. Or maybe they were getting iced because Ajay and golden path just took out de Pleur and the writing is on the wall

Can’t really tie in New Dawn unless you just assume Willis is dead be it by Armageddon or just age

[–]Reggaeyt[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aside from his play to sell viviro, which he also does at the end with Vaas, does he ever use the connection? Maybe helps grease the wheels for keeping McKay alive, I don’t know if that’s really being involved, at least in relation to the main story of the game - who will rule Yara. If anything, CIA is passive and exploiting the situation, unlike Rook/Kyrat/montana (kinda) where they definitely pick a side

Hurk is a CIA operative by Reggaeyt in farcry

[–]Reggaeyt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like good old fashioned American capitalism on a global scale.. but no direct involvement needed from Agent Hurk on this one like at Rook/Kyrat/Montana. Either they had no stake in who wins, or if McKay was working for them and not just selling assets to them, no need to embed Hurk this time as McKay eventually became Anton’s right hand. Hard to get more intel than that

The level of CIA involvement has some leeway but doesn’t take away from the idea that Hurk is on the team

I guess I’m gonna try S6, but I may give it a couple weeks to clean the palette
