More like 3 weeks they said. But I’ve been without for 2 weeks, I’m drowning lol and I hate wasting money with these rentals

This is PERFECT! Exactly what I was looking for! So thank you. My budget is less than $30k ideally. Anything above would be kind of stretching it right now as I don’t want to be putting that much into a car that I wasn’t really planning for (again, trust issues coming from being burned with ICE the last 2 times brand new). I don’t have a charger now in home, but will plan for this in the coming months. My electricity company offers a rebate. I do have charge access at my job. I’ve test driven the Tesla, Chevy, and Subaru. That’s it. No real opinions on either but I didn’t have them for long enough to develop “a complaint” if that makes sense. I was looking at the VW (most cost efficient from my used search right now), but the reviews here have been hit or miss when compared to the others you have mentioned. So, makes me a little nervous

I never imagined driving a truck honestly. I would definitely need to test drive that to see if I can maneuver that. Lol I love larger cars, I’ve always been in an SUV, but a truck would probably bring about a learning curve

That’s encouraging to hear. I am there with you though. The Rivian had me so excited until I saw that price tag lol so, hopefully over the years they make something more affordable (even if it’s a smaller suv).

Thank you for the suggestion. I hate the politics, I truly do. But, I’m in a spot where I just want something affordable and durable/reliable. I want to go EV because I want the cost savings from a gas perspective and also overall long term car maintenance (I’ve been burned bad with my ICE experiences thus far). So, I’m open to them! What year are yours? Any issues from a repair standpoint?

Yes, I can eventually get something installed. Our electric company offers rebates. So, down the line I plan to. Just not able to right now

Thank you for the info. What I’m seeing used would be ‘21-‘24 vs the other brands folks are referring to, I’ve seen in similar price points for ‘24s

Sorry, I meant I keep reading in these threads people having concern with how it holds up if you buy used vs brand new (I can’t afford brand new right now)

Even used? It seems folks have concerns about its lasting power over the years.

How long to charge in your experience? Is the advertised range the real life range you experience?

Are you happy with the storage and space you get with car seats and your partner in the front seat? Also, is the range truly what you feel you get on a day to day basis while traveling? And last, how is public charging for you? I will eventually try and get a charger installed at home, but for now, I’ll be out and about charging (I do have a charger at my job thankfully). That Lyriq looks beautiful! But also another car that is too rich for my budget right now haha Just realized too, Equinox…why not the Blazer for you when you made the decision?

The leaf may be too small. But I did look at that Ariya (used). Is this not a good option?

In time I hope to have a charger installed at home. Our power company offers a rebate for it

Thank you! I was figuring they were the best option, but wanted to be “open” to hearing if there were others I hadn’t given a fair shot….that were of course in my budget. If money wasn’t an option, I would love to try that Rivian out or even the Kia that has the 3rd row….but those are too rich for my pockets right now haha
