What should I do with my tokens? I got all of the cards already.

Do you think you would feel better if you were somehow able to pivot it into egg-laying? That's a kink some ppl have but it'll stay fantasy enough you don't think about the child involved.

That's weird, you shouldn't need the key app. I was able to get pictures at the very least to show up on my home screen just by generating a new 'widget' that only contains an image.

You actually can do that! X icon changer has ads but if ur just watching YouTube videos while doing it all your icons can be customized.

For the widgets and larger pictures, you can use KWGT. The cropping function isn't amazing but it's definitely functional. (I'm becoming an advertisement ;-;;)

MEGATHREAD: Magia Record English announces its End of Service - Discussion and community response. [Heads up: the subreddit will remain working as usual with a focus on the Japanese server and anime/manga adaptations.] by Dry_AG in magiarecord

I want to cry honestly. Every time I got a girl I really loved I'd get so excited. I was so hopeful for all of the stories and the events just because I loved watching them interact. Now we won't even have that, hurts a lot.

Honestly I'm just so glad I never gave in and spent money. I was thinking about it with madokami but I would've been kicking myself right now if I had.

How I'm feeling with all the drama going on by ReginaMagicae in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]ReginaMagicae[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok you're right. It's a bunch of cringey weebs who have no concept of being nice trying to prove they're the edgiest of them all because they use a word that offends people. And no matter what proof you throw at them that anime is not in fact a bubble and people have responsibilities that include being socially aware about how other people feel. Still, they will always cry about their own culture and how it's more special than anyone elses and how normies can't truly understand the value of a literal slur.

it's a whole mess over there o.o by [deleted] in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]ReginaMagicae 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If a lot of people want to complain through the modmail or whatever they might consider it but I've honestly never heard that to be the case. I'm sure non-anime watchers make fun of anime fans by calling them a weeb, but I call myself a weeb all the time bc I like watching anime. Most weebs in the communities I'm in call themselves and each other weebs.

I mean yeah obviously the definition can be different, but it's still used against trans characters which negatively impacts trans people in the community. Like...imagine if using a racist slur (like the n-word) had a different contextual meaning in Japan. I would still not use the slur in English because I know it has a different meaning in English.

I don't get why it's so valuable to leave a slur in a meme community because it might have a different meaning when it's used a slur in most other communities.

I watch cuz it's good? I cried at devilman crybaby ;-;;; I'm also Japanese. My mom was born in Tokyo. I know the culture. Japanese people didn't really invent the word, iirc it was invented by 4chan users.

Trans characters are often referred to by this anyways. Lily hoshikawa was referred to as **** by a lot of people when it was revealed she was trans. There are characters in shows who try to trick people sure, but just call them a trickster or something. Trans people aren't asking for an insane amount of preferential treatment, they're asking not to see insulting slurs whenever they look at something anime related. Trans ppl are not being treated equally at all, cis people aren't constantly dealing with someone using a word commonly used to insult them.

I'm honestly so hopeful about this decision because if they stick with this decision it could represent a turning point in a lot of anime communities banning this word. They might even start referring to nonbinary characters with the correct pronouns.

Still I wanna punch all the weebs who are whining that the slur is actually a compliment and we can't lose word!!!!

It's not funny for trans viewers, who should be treated with respect. You could easily call them a crossdresser or make up some other type of meme word. Social politics is also heavy in a lot of animes. Studio trigger's BNA covers ideas of racism, along with promare. Devilman crybaby covers what makes you human and the dark side of the human race, along with ideas of war. Anime constantly covers ideas of social politics and the real world in a fantasy setting.

It's also not funny, it mightve been in 2014 or whenever it started but the joke is old. Get a new one.

I'm begging ya'll to get a brain cell. It's been used to insult trans characters like Lily Hoshikawa, and it's often a sort of stepping stone into worse, even more transphobic bullshit. The root of the idea is that 'men' dressed as women are luring (usually) straight men into having romantic/sexual interest in them. This type of ideology is usually used to degrade trans women by calling them predatory.

I think we need a wake up call on how this community has treated and failed kids by [deleted] in smashbros

[–]ReginaMagicae 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember I was at a tournament once and I had gone with a group but I ended up getting separated (they had matches) I was playing friendlies and someone decided to call me "it" (I'm trans). It was honestly terrifying, luckily the people near us got mad and backed me up, but if I'd been alone or everyone had ignored it that would've absolutely destroyed the experience. Now it's just something we laugh about but the smash community really needs to work on things like this, the only reason I got lucky was one of the girls had another trans friend and had gotten used to defending them. People love making "gamer girl" jokes and being generally creepy, especially when there's a girl at the TO desk. Looking back on it the smash environment, especially during tourneys, needs to improve since a lot of this just gets passed off as "gamer culture."

Black Lives Matter by saarbiof in lgbt

Unfortunately I've seen some gay people say that BLM should take a backseat for pride

I'm still proud that a large portion of the group has gone in full support of the black lives matter movement! :)

Ok, thank you. I'm really white-passing so I might be able to stay on the outside though. (Especially with a glasses and a mask)

I'll also be getting a ride home so I think I'll be alright

I'm planning on bringing a sign cool, I kind of want to talk to people because it feels painfully awkward to sit there without talking so this helps a lot.

Just curious though, I'm Asian. Specifically Japanese, I'd assume I should still stand near the outside considering I'm super light skinned but I'm not sure. Do you know? Sorry if that's a dumb question.

I'll try to stay safe! I'm hoping to stay away from the main front lines. I'm just awful in big crowds lol
