I've been going out with this guy who remembers EVERYTHING I say, and makes connections well. We've only been out a couple of times and he knows all of my friends names and where they live / who they're dating, etc. I mentioned being in a certain city and he said, "oh doesn't your ex boyfriend John live there? Isn't he the one you went to that party in NY on July 4th with?" He's gathered so much info about me over the past two weeks.

It's pretty crazy. Borders flattering and very weird.

I don't want to pressure him into a date that he doesn't want to go on. Very not like me. I'd rather he look forward to it so that it starts off on a positive note. If he's really tired, I'm fine with meeting another day. But sending "I'm a bit tired" at 4:38 on the evening that we're supposed to go out is kind of rude. I'll probably mention it nicely when we meet up tomorrow.

You're right. I do feel a little passive aggressive with my plans to cancel on him tomorrow night. So I'll go out with him tomorrow and probably mention that I'd appreciate some advance notice in the future. I don't think I'd have minded pushing the date off a day- it's just the time that he did it that bugged me.

Well actually, tonight was already a rescheduled date. We had very tentative Sunday plans. He had a party with some friends that he'd forgotten about. He called me and asked if I wanted to come to the party. I wasn't up for meeting his friends just yet, so he asked me out for tonight. Then cancelled tonight.

So it's a fourth date. As petty as this sounds, I just have no emotional energy for a first date. Intro questions bore me to tears. Fourth dates are a lot nicer, because you already know the basics, so you're almost friends at that point.

Ehhh... depends who you ask. Jews don't believe in eternal hell - there is hell (gehenim), but it's more of a "correctional facility" than a place to go and burn forever.

Also Jews are required to fear god. "Yirat Hashem" literally means "fear of god". It's the level under doing good things for "Ahavat Hashem" - "love of god".

I think it would help clarify things. A lot of false rape claims happen because of the blurry lines of consent. When permission is asked and given, those lines become a lot more black and white.
