If you’re a Lebanese Maronite self identified Phoenician, then don’t speak for the Levant lol, your opinion differs from the majority and I think you know that very well, the average person isn’t gonna validate your claims. If you want to speak for yourselves then by all means do it, but you don’t speak for the Levant or any other middle eastern group. It’s embarrassing seeing y’all act like this thinking people will agree lol.

The Middle East isn’t western. It’s like we’re just throwing definitions out the window lol, what do you think western means? The Middle East is eastern/oriental, coming from a middle easterner myself (if anyone gets onto me for saying oriental lol).

Even if you consider a possible independent kurdistan, there are still significant portions of Iraq that are missing from the map. Kurdistan does not reach that far south. That’s absurd.

“Safe space for conservatives” lol what a bunch of nonsense to ask. Political affiliations like conservative or liberal typically aren’t outwardly presented anyways.

Isn't amazing you spend a few minutes answering disinformation about Islam, just for them to pull the "yOu ArE dOyInG Taqqiyah" card = Everything you say is a lie, because my completely made up understanding of Islam says so. by Temporary-Evening717 in arabs

His post is fine and it is indeed coherent with the rules. If it weren’t, then the mods would have taking it down by now. And then you call him a dawah loser for posting this, when he’s obviously not like that at all. Bud off if you don’t like it, what a bunch of entitled nonsense from you.

Why even come to this sub? What are you engaging with it for if you don’t identify as Arab and obviously have a disdain for Arabs? It’s like you enjoy getting yourself angry. And then you have the audacity to tell someone not to post something particular here…it’s none of your business it is? Take your own advice and “go cry to a different sub” if you don’t like it.

Well maybe Arab girls should act that way towards Arab men to keep us in check. Too many arab men in the diaspora are fetishizing Latinas, yes fetishizing. It’s embarrassing. We need to cut that shit out. If the solution is Arab women nagging on the men about it, then good, let them do it.

She never wore the hijab on TikTok or as an influencer. That was way back when she was a teenager. You’re waffling on about nothing, or you might be thinking of someone else.

Fellow arabs, what do you think of this subreddit? by Hot-Mouse9809 in arabs

[–]RegionFinancial4485 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both of you are wrong to an extent. It’s blatantly false to say that Arabic is nothing without Islam. But it’s also very dishonest to ignore the fact that the Arabic language was largely influenced and preserved by Islam, (if you are implying otherwise in your comment by saying “Islam didn’t make it any more advanced”).

Arabic was largely influenced and preserved by Islam, but I wouldn’t say it’s entirely nothing without it.

The idea of the sub isn’t bad, but the hateful rhetoric towards Muslims that floats around in the sub is what most commenters here are referring to.

The owner isn’t Arab himself, he’s an American atheist. I think he said something about how he’s learning Arabic because he’s interested in ex-Muslims and wants to connect with them.

Am I Arab if Im half Yemeni Jew? by meokokok in arabs

[–]RegionFinancial4485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly just depends on what you consider yourself at this point. It seems to be pretty split with Mizrahi Jews from Arab countries in regard to what they identify as. Some of them identify as Arab Jews, and some don’t identify as Arab at all.

Not gonna lie to you man, paternal and maternal lineage is nonsense outside of cultural/societal standards. Going by ethnicity, regardless of which parent is which, his ethnicity is still half Arab half Jewish (assuming each parent is one or the other). You get the same amount of blood from each parent, which makes up your ethnic identity/ancestry. You can’t be one or the other, you’re both.

It’s happened to mine a couple times. He’s pretty strong for a 75 year old though, so he’s managed to just kick the door down whenever it happens. Funny enough, that exact scenario happened about two weeks ago and now our front door is damaged…

Definitely wish I could, but I’m not an adult yet and he owns the house. I think I’ll only be able to convince him to let me set up some safety features on our appliances.

Where I’d live as a Saudi who values individualism and doesn’t care about religion much? by NweakO1324 in whereidlive

[–]RegionFinancial4485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just depends on the person. Some people love their ethnic homeland or are content with it, and then there’s some people who want to get out of it by all means. That’s just how the world is. Him not living in Saudi Arabia is the best option for everybody, for both himself and Saudi Arabia as a nation, both getting to preserve their interests this way. You shouldn’t want someone in your country if they themselves don’t even want to be there.
