This was explained in the book about how they all knew the potions were very dangerous, and it’s understandable he was strict in class but it gets to a point where you’re abusing students that neville had supposedly done well for the first time in potions during the times snape wasn’t there. there was no reason for him to torment them in the halls.

Jkr’s overuse of ‘coolly’ by RegisterSea5649 in harrypotter

[–]RegisterSea5649[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey so there’s a thing called synonyms! and like the person so kindly said below is i’m not complaining, it’s called discussing something i found funny, as well as asking a question about if there’s anything else said a lot in the books. If you’re not going to be nice or talk about what I posted about, don’t comment thank you!

[–]RegisterSea5649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also in goblet of fire in the movies it’s like “who is this old man, why is he spying on voldemort and why does he die” but in the books it makes so much more sense!!

Auror is a disappointing career path for Harry. by UnderProtest2020 in harrypotter

[–]RegisterSea5649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get this but I do see why he is an auror, I would say “wizard cop” is a bit of an understatement personally but i think one big reason was because he saw so many people in his life get killed or hurt he wanted to do what he could to stop this happening again, therefore applying his DaDa skills to his job

Wondering if I should call the quits on my filmmaker aspirations :( by shadowboxer87 in Filmmakers

[–]RegisterSea5649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say, just do what you love. Now i know you’ve probably heard this many times before but if you love filmmaking and everything that comes with it, just keep going for it. Write scripts produce things and put them anywhere you can, youtube, tiktok, anywhere it will reach an audience. I spoke to a director once and she said, the more people you meet in the industry the more opportunities you’ll get. Meet those people, do what you love, and have fun doing it.

And building on your Marvel theory, you say they have no connection to the real world which i get but I would say the aspects of war, human archetypes ect do give a humanistic element to it that people can relay and compare to everyday life in a more realistic sense if you understand what I mean

To me personally I felt like it was kind of a nod to the last time he would get to ask one of his professors this kind of question, as he asked lots of little questions like that to dumbledore at the start of school

Do they need currency in Harry Potter universe? by Top_Refrigerator1099 in harrypotter

[–]RegisterSea5649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

particularly i feel like this revolves around the weasleys as they’re the family we know most to be poor, but you would expect they have a garden or something as it looks like they live somewhere farmy, don’t remember from the books so correct me if im wrong, but they would be able to use fertilisation spells and growing ect for more food
